Why would there be a love plot between them?
People love to accuse others of "reaching." If this was a female and male friendship with their same dynamics and chemistry, you'd absolutely be okay with people shipping them. Let people ship what they want. Being upset about it is a sure sign of homophobia.

Fu Xingshu and Wen Chengye's bromance is too good. I love the storyline between them, and if there were no censorship,…
They were definitely a typical C-drama queer-coded couple. You see this in a lot of C-dramas where they use bromance in a secondary couple because they could not make it explicitly gay. So we get "best friends" but who are coded as a sort of exes-to-lovers in the subtext. I loved their story in this.

What a journey. I did not at all expect to go into this and end up crying for several episodes. I'm a huge fan of found family dynamics, traumatized people finding each other and healing together, and sports-centric bromances, so this was enjoyable to watch. Absolutely loved the little rascals, and I wish all those young actors much success in the future.

No spoiler but a random thought. Why does FL's friend JuLi give major unrequited feelings vibe? Or is it just me?
Definite queer undertones from her from the start...she was basically the female equivalent of the unrequited third wheel in your typical C-drama love triangle. Even when she was first introduced you saw the ML being jealous of her.

The amount of cliffs people just happen to be around in Cdramas is truly ridiculous 💀
China has a lot of mountains, so now I'm assuming people were just falling off cliffs left and right in the old days.

People complaining about a "SIMP ML." Like, why? If you don't like it, there's thousands of other C-dramas to watch. So give me all the simp MLs. Better than having a toxic narcissist I'm supposed to ship the FL with. All that to say, I love the ML in this, he's hilarious, he's smart and scheming and calculating, suffers a good amount of whump, and he adores his crazy manipulative strong FL lead. Can't ask for better IMHO.

I finally watched this for the first time a couple of months ago and haven't gotten it out of my mind. Whew. I wish there were more series like this. If you know of any, please tell me!

4 episodes in and the ML and FL are already giving me power couple + married couple vibes (with a ready-made child). The chemistry is great. Also I so love the red color theme!

This is such an underrated gem! I've rewatched this one several times because I love it that much, and every time I still get so mad at the injustices the ML faced, so much so I'm yelling at the characters on the screen. The ML's acting was so great in this. I'm always wishing for more K-drama mystery thrillers that keep my attention like this one did!

Title Journey with You Spoiler
can someone tell me the relationship between pei yanzhi, su he and pei yanzhi's brother, why did pei send letters…
From what I understand Yanzhi is a hostage to the empire (but acts as a spy for his original country Talhan and his uncle Suhe, which is why he sends letters to them). From what we've seen so far it appears Yanzhi teamed up with Crown Prince and Suhe to help them usurp the throne. We haven't been told explicitly why, but we can assume it was in part to protect Qi as we are told that Yanzhi had hoped that Crown Prince would spare him and Qi. But as we saw in Ep. 1, the Crown Prince and Suhe betrayed Yanzhi and killed both him and Qi in the end. If I got anything wrong or am missing anything, others please add! I also want to better understand the political dynamics and maneuvering!

Rewatched this recently and still love it. Also I want to mention I watch a lot of medical dramas and I'd never seen intervention radiology portrayed in one before. I learned a lot from this about an area of medicine I had no idea about.

I had to drop it because I read online that the mother was never punished or held accountable for what she did…
Same, I came here to spoil myself and after reading the two comments to your posting, I'm even more upset. I can't believe the mother wasn't actually punished and the FL had to take "the higher road." Just weak. I will not be continuing to watch this at all.

Unfortunately most Japanese dramas on MDL get rating bombed.
Oh this is so sad. Yeah now I need to reevaluate everything I avoided watching based on MDL ratings. If they are giving this series a 7.5, and I solidly enjoyed it, then that means all the 7.5 shows I've avoided may actually be good.

What is with the low score? I just devoured these episodes. The cinematography, the acting, the costumes, the overly dramatic stares and music score, I love all of it. I was so nervous going in b/c of the score. Also, I have never been able to get through Princess Agents, I tried again to watch it in lead up to this sequel, and I quit -- I didn't like the male lead the actors, the characters, or the slow pace. The only thing I enjoyed was the FL and her character. But like...this sequel corrects all of the things I didn't like? I love both of the actors for the male leads. Commanding on screen and complicated. The female lead actress is young, but she is outstanding in this role. And I usually hate love triangles, but I'm enjoying the craziness of this one. Is it b/c I didn't like Princess Agents, that I am pleasantly surprised by this sequel? Because it seems like people who liked or have nostalgia for Princess Agents, are not enjoying this one? And people who are coming to this sequel fresh are enjoying it more. Also, I adore the opening credits.

I was so into this, binged it all in one day. The ratings should really be higher. It felt so different and it was a refreshing watch. I loved seeing not your traditional righteous lawyer/cop story. But to actually see an anti-hero/ morally grey figure working for the "bad guys." The performances! Yuya was amazing as Kujo, and I actually really enjoyed the bromance between the leads. It felt natural. I was also really intrigued by Keita's character Mibu and would love to have more backstory on the relationship b/w Mibu and Kujo. Again it was so great to have a story that showed the murkiness of the system, that nothing is black or white, that humans are complex creatures. 10 episodes felt way too short, I was craving many more. The ending! I hope for a Season 2.

Fewer episodes? I thought exactly the opposite, I needed more episodes. So much unexplored. 10 was way too short.
