The show is cute and fluffy. Turn your brain off when you watch it and just enjoy it for what it is. My one complaint…

On The Red Sleeve Nov 19, 2025
The Red Sleeve tricks you at first — the opening feels like a happy, fated love fantasy with playful chemistry. That only lasted about 1/3 runtime. The last 2/3 it does a 180, drowning in fake‑serious palace quarrels, overblown music, and endless suffering. What started as rom‑com charm turns into pompous melodrama, soapy and frustrating. Honestly, it feels like family squabbles dressed up as life‑or‑death drama. No thanks.

Lee Se‑young is absolutely irresistible here — her most beautiful performance yet. Sa Wol was fun at first, but the story flopped and dragged her character down near the end.
The scenery, cinematography, fashion, and immersive music make it visually stunning. Many times I wanted to skip ahead, but the music held me back.
The first half works well as a light rom‑com, but the second half turns into pure frustration. With only 6 or 7 truly watchable episodes, a 6/10 feels fair.
As always with K‑dramas, there’s no escaping deaths and suspense, while pure comedy is barely present

Makita Aju (Yonaga Aki) why is she allowed to cut into the boss conversation... never seen assistant like that…
It’s the second time I’ve noticed an actor doing hand‑clasping repeatedly… disappointing if that’s really a new standard for choosing actors today

Title Genie, Make a Wish Spoiler
I honestly disliked almost everything about this drama. From start to finish, it was a mess — full of nonsense,…
Thanks, i couldnt tell so i use copilotAI to search for some proof. Sound like its really serious wrong in many ways. One thing i can tell they borrowed some Bible events to mix with different religious.

📚 Specific controversies
Iblis misrepresentation: In Islamic belief, Iblis is the equivalent of Satan — the figure who defied God by refusing to bow to Adam. In the drama, Kim Woo‑bin’s genie literally introduces himself as “Iblis” and is portrayed as a charming, misunderstood wish‑granting being. Critics said this was a wrong assumption and a distortion of religious history.

Romanticizing evil: By turning Iblis into a romantic lead, the show was accused of romanticizing Satan, which many Muslim viewers found offensive.

Twisting scripture: Some dialogue reportedly referenced Quranic verses out of context, which viewers described as ignorance of religion and language.

Cultural appropriation: International reviews noted the drama borrowed sacred concepts without research, leading to accusations of cultural insensitivity.
