That is the formula for the vast majority of them yeah regardless of medium. Not unique to kdramas either. Romance…
Its the most basic tried and tested formula but kdramas are especially bad with the execution in the sense that they just copy paste everything , like you can predict a lot of the dramas very easily and it gets tiring ( obviously there are several exceptions) .
Manwha also suffers from this while manga doesn't , idk why they do this .
The Korean movie industry on the other hand is excellent .

Everyone is complaining because they have seen a lot of shows just do a nosedive in the same pattern , I like this drama because they are 3d characters with actual flaws which both of them are aware of and are working to fix unlike a lot of dramas where they have a sudden epiphany and burst of emotion of "OHH I am wrong better fix everything in a jiffy " it takes time to fix yourself and I really like that we see them trying to fix these flaws since the beginning of the drama , but also really tired of the same mini breakup trope that is inserted in every drama for no reason at all . Hope they don't butcher their characters by suddenly giving them the same EQ as a teenager .

didnt expect much else from a dude from banglore india ijbol seryag nodakku barala
isn't it a fact that kdramas target audience is predominantly female so most ml's are green flag with insane yearning and /or patience, what are you getting mad about?
I personally enjoy them either way but its just a simple truth that media is shaped by its audience .
