The irony in so many of you complaining but when I click the profile to block, it says you've watched 10/28 of the episodes. So you're actively watching something you deem "morally wrong" then calling the rest of us strange for watching????
Like either watch it and give actual critiques (good or bad) that are constructive and deals with the plot or just don't watch it at all. The show is filmed and it is airing. Nothing is going to change.
Don't watch the show if you think it's wrong or makes you uncomfortable. It's that simple.
For Previews 9-10, This is how I know I've watched way too many HMH dramas when I took one look at his face and was reminded of his "emotional" confessions as Lu Jianglai and Drunk Ji Bozai. I literally paused and thought out loud, "He's about to ask if she loves or cares about him, isn't he? "
Every time I see CDL's character in her new show on the swing, I can't help but think of Wen Xiao and Zhao Yuanzhou. I miss them :(
It's not often a show can show such an intense love in the most soft, discreet way. I wish we got more of them but... I'll just pretend ZYZ was resurrected and him and Wen Xiao live happily ever after.
Rewatching VOS and every time I see the scene of "Yuan Xizai" (Yuan Wuhou) turning around with Ji ling's face, it reminds of that scene in FOF when Zhao Yuanzhou was placing his hand on the rock with Zhuo Yichen, and he was thinking of Li Lun before it became ZYC's face. Like GJM, I did you just reuse that scene? LOL
Guys, I'm clearly never leaving the FOF/VOS restaurants (LITC too haha).
Also spreading some JJY love, this is the first time I have watched a series with her (I started Love and Fairy with her and Chen Zheyuan but ended up skipping). She did amazing here!! My favorite scene with her is where she is in the rain with TJR. Like even when you see the BTS, you can see just how immersed she was in the role. It was as if JJY had gone through it all herself personally and not the character.
Everyone has their own opinions about acting, but you don't have to send hate or include other ships in an attempt to put her down. Everyone else, I recommend just ignoring the trolls. They feed off getting a notification from you.
So are we in agreement that the biggest plot twist is that it's a happy ending? When I finished the last episode, I had to double check there wasn't something I missed LOL
They had me worried between ep 24-26 what with the whole "one of you must die and one is destined to kill the other". I thought it was going to be another FOF ending-
I don't remember what episode, but I swear there was a moment in FOF where ZYZ watched "Li Lun" turn around at it was ZYC instead. The scene in VOS of Ji Ling (Li Jie/Yuan Wuhou in the illusion) turning around as Yuan Xizai reminds me of that scene every time I watch it lol
Finding the little similarities in videography/themes between VOS and FOF is fun. I wonder if there have been any similar scenes to MJTY in VOS too?

This drama airs at 5am for me. Who's sleep schedule is messed up? Mine. Who watches this ASAP? Me. 🤣
This airs for me at 11pm and I get up for work between 5am-6am 😅
All I will say is the first night of the premiere with 5 episodes, I went to bed at 2am. No regrets lol I will have two weeks off from work starting next week, so I'll get caught up.... eventually 😂
Omg, I can't believe I guessed the Jiling/"Longshen" connection correctly! I knew Ji ling had to be some part of Longshen that he casted out somehow.
Random thing, but I happened to pull up the scene for an old fic I was going to write on ao3 months ago (FOF/VOS crossover) and I wrote something so similar, where Ji Ling is literally Longshen's heart and emotions he cut out. Omg I can't believe I guessed that LMAO
FOF and LITC are still holding me captive and I just know VOS is going to grab me too. I know many people don't like the trailers, but I quite like them and the mysterious vibes. I do hope there is more romance in it than FOF but I am also not expecting it to be LITC level of romance shown (Meaning I don't expect it to be the main theme if that makes sense).
Like FOF, I like the dynamics they show so far and I think we'll see even more dynamics with the characters in the show. My favorite part of FOF was how the group got along with each other and became like a family, so I look forward to that here. I already enjoy Li Jie's little unhelpful side comments to Ji Ling lol "She means you're not handsome" (Before pitchforks come out, I do NOT mean that in a shippy way at all. I am all Jilu here). We'll get some laughs but oh boy, I think we'll be crying a lot too.
JBZ/MY (Mingzai?) already took me for a storm but I've got a feeling JILU will be the storm. I love them already and it's not out yet. I am also really curious of the other leads' relationship too.

HMH will always have me in a chokehold lmao (I still occasionally turn on FOF and LITC cause I'm not over those either).
The dramas I anticipate most always seem to come around when my graduate classes start (or finals begin). LITC and FOF were both like this for me haha
I'm still not over FOF and LITC, I think VOS is really gonna tear me apart I fear.
