I didn't feel that he was obsessed, he just liked him and wanted his attention and was jealous of Chen Ke. Sometimes when you like someone so much you ignore signs that they might not like you back and become delusional. He just changed his style to look more like Chen Ke as he is desperate but nothing too crazy or extreme.

They're in their first year or uni so they're in their late teens and dumb. I remember being dumb at that age. So I get Ouyang trying to get his crush's attention but nothing toxic about it, dude was just third wheeling and he took his shot. It's not like he was obsessive for years...m
The main couple lacks chemistry that's why I find them boring, not that their story is boring. The side couple banter and bickering is entertaining and their chemistry is amazing.
