it's pretty obvious tho, they said it's been almost 20 years since they saw each other, not 20 years since the story started, that must mean the priest was around Barth and Tanrak for approximately 10 years before they saw him for the last time or at least before barth saw him for the last time cause we still dont know if Tanrak kept in touch with the priest up until the present, even if they don't show it in the show, it's pretty easy to get to that conclusion

I'm so conflicted with this show, when I started it I was convinced it was gonna be one of my fave shows of 2026 but man, what a letdown. I was ready to forgive the fish kisses but I just can't get past how horribly they handled the tutor plot, I can't believe they made it seem something normal... that man should be behind bars Idc if the consenting age in Japan makes this whole situation normal, morally it isn't and it's so frustrating. Anyways, went from a 10/10 to a solid 6/10 just because the acting, cinematography and ost was good

Listen buddy, it's okay to disagree with someone's opinion, but when that "opinion" is basically defending pedophilia it stops being just an "opinion", an university student should have no business with a 14 yo middle schooler, no matter how much the show or Akira tries to portray it as "them helping each other", that is predatory behavior, like i said, even if Akira thinks it's right, it is not, period. So when people like you fail to recognize this issue, it is very alarming cause y'all are basically being pedophilia apologists. And i think i gave a pretty clear reason as to why i think this whole situation is beyond wrong, so I don't know where you got the idea that i didn't provide any. I'm genuinely disgusted by the amount of people defending the tutor and calling Akira a red flag in the comments... are you guys okay?, the show has been pretty clear about what this relationship is about, this is texbook grooming, even if Akira thinks it is normal, i need y'all to understand IT IS NOT. He was a middle schooler when he met this man already in college, he was going through a rough moment and Kanda took advantage of him, it is very clear so I'm wondering what age are all these people trying to defend this behavior cause it doesn't make sense, y'all need to read between the lines, a character not being able to see how wrong something is doesn't mean you as an spectator should think the same, let's put our thinking caps on please. I must say, i do feel a little bit worried about how the show will handle this issue in the end, i hope they don't brush it off lightly cause i believe they've done a good job so far portraying that dynamic as very unsettling and sinister.

Well, this show definitely changed my life, going in i thought it was gonna be just another goofy show but omg it left my heart broken in ways u didnt know it could. This is the type of show i loved but would never rewatch it again cause the pain is too much
