isn’t qi sheng the uncle of qimin? so why are they calling each other “brother”?

I thought when the previous emperor abdicated, he gave his throne to his youngest son. qimin is the previous emperor’s grandson so qi sheng is his uncle. I’m v confused rn

no one had to kill him but they could’ve just broke his legs or gouged out an eyeball or something. he always gets away with injuries that are minor enough for him to still be able to fight again

yeah but it’s his choice if he wants to die. he’s a grown man. and it would’ve been an honourable death that he was prepared to face. I get his anger at not even being able to avenge his master.
