High Expectations, Big Disappointment
Unfortunately, this drama was a disappointment for me. I had high expectations, especially because of Song Weilong. He was the reason I stayed until the end,even when I wanted to skip scenes. The script was my biggest issue: slow, inconsistent and often more silly than meaningful. The female lead didn’t work for me in this role, although liked her much more in The Veil of Shadows. In immortal cultivation dramas, I hope to find wisdom and deeper meaning, but here the story often felt simply silly
