This mediocre story was already giving me a headache when the immature Qian Xi Xi was appointed CEO for ridiculous reasons during the selection process. Apparently, Duan Ran—despite having studied business abroad—was considered less suitable?! He had also invested a considerable sum in this company—without which the firm would have already been forced to give up!
The final straw for me was the scene at the first board meeting, where Duan Ran—already humiliated—arrived late and was forced to stand in the corner as punishment! That was Xixi's first official act. Standing "in the corner" as a punishment was something from 1950s school days; it’s a practice long since abandoned because it violates human dignity.
Romance? I can't stand to watch this rubbish any longer!
