i myself am asian though? my criticism isnt even with skinship, it's with the idea of getting engaged to a person…
it's been 10 days and you keep commenting under this review, do you realise i am entitled to my own opinion? if you enjoyed the drama and laughed to it, you can write your own review and praise the show so.
you talk of parody, but such a parody to korean drama tropes was actually "i dream of being a freaking cinderella" a show i fully enjoyed. that too is rated low on mdl, and even though i feel the audience didnt understand its humour, i do not go and force people to debate me on it. do you understand why? because everyone is entitled to their opinion. it's the writer's job to convey their messages clearly. and the audience can decide whether they were successful in doing so or not.
thirdly, i never said in my review that being conservative (accidental or intentional) is wrong. i said that's what it comes across. thats something i noted and thus, i mentioned in my review. people who subscribe to conservative idealogies can takeaway it as something they'd relate to, however people who dont and might want to watch the show may find it irritating. so noting that could help them decide whether the show is for them.
once again, i am not responsible to cure your frustration with people not enjoying the show. maybe try not taking everyone's experience so personally and you'd have more fun watching dramas.
Lol all the critiques are valid but conservative = muh, bad, is so western coded lol.
i myself am asian though? my criticism isnt even with skinship, it's with the idea of getting engaged to a person you barely know and promising marriage, instead of first dating them. thats also i used the word "accidentally", because i dont think thats they were aiming for, thats how it accidentally came across.
imo, the fl is smart and very capable, but she's young and inexperienced, so there are things she has to learn…
oh thats okay while im his fan, i dont care about his screentime if the drama is women-focused. i think i'll wait few days to judge the vibes and then start watching!
i am on the fence of starting this drama as a HUGE dyx fan who is often let down by his drama choices -- could you guys please let me know if the FL is smart, capable and cunning, or is she just surface-level smart but ends up being damsel in distress more often?
(i know it's too early to judge but lmk the vibes atleast)
fr she has no business being this nosy. if anything she should be GRATEFUL CYR saved her from marrying a murderer…
EXACTLY! and i think i blame it on the writer(s) more because she;s such a 2D character with no life of her own, or a backstory which gives us even a glimpse of why she is so. she is just a pain in the ass, just cuz the script says so.
