1. Both Gagaoolala and Viki address the main characters by their second names, while the audio uses their first names. Such dissonance can get annoying.
2. Very rarely, I believe the "background noise" conversations aren’t translated, even when no one important is talking. I only noticed it in the last episode, so it might not be much of an issue.
3. Minor spoiler for episode 5 – the main lead slips and falls down. The other main lead says something that Viki translated as : "Are my muscles too much?" Gagaoolala suppossedly uses: "Did I polish the floor too much?", which makes much more sense in that situation.
4. Now for the big boy [major spoiler for episode one].
The phrase Fukuhara uses during the ending scene (付き合って欲しいな, " Tsukiatte hoshī na") has a meaning along the lines: "I was hoping we could go out." or "I wish we could date." (google literally translates it as: "I want you to go out with me.") The phrase is often used in japanese media when shy female protagonist confesses to the main male lead and I think it‘s even considered a trope between manga and anime fans.
Original subtitles on Viki said the same thing as google translate when the first episode aired. Soon after, they've changed it to "I was hoping we could stay together always," which is more ambiguous regarding Kota‘s intentions. Not sure what subs Gagaoolala had on release date, but right now it says "I hope you'll be with me forever." So, it's also unclear. For episode 3, Viki changed the translation to: "I hope we could be good friends." They use this translation for the rest of the show. Unofficial IrozukuSubs consistently translate the phrase as: "I want you to go out with me."
My main issue with the latest Viki translation is that it takes the blame away from Fukuhara and puts it all on Shinomiya, to the point some people might get confused how Shinomiya could have misunderstood Fukuhara so much. The second translations are a bit more equivocal, though still not strong enough to create a believable misunderstanding in my opinion. I’m not sure what intention the creator had when writing the source manga, but personally, I much prefer the original translation.
About episode 8 - I almost got a heart attack from that conflict. "Kota's" acting was pretty bad this episode imo, like the tones were way off (maybe he was just confused about the light/ dark balance?). Naoya was fine and pretty consistent. There was a lot of recap and inner monologue, but it fit the episode quite well. Overall, I'm satisfied.
About the whole series - really great. A tad repetitive and anticlimatic with conflicts, but very funny and emotional (will never ever say again it's lighthearted. You won't make me!). I didn't mind the lack of intimacy, since it fit the bigger picture (though I wouldn't have complained if we got more). The subtitles nagged me, but I won't blame the show for it.
About season 2 - I would have loved one! But I don't see where would they go with that, and I don't want them to just make something up if there's no more source material. Maybe a special "date" episode could work, but a whole new season? Probably not.

I think the pacing for P&M isn't the best, but it doesn't feel too draggy to me. First 6 or so episodes were kinda slow and introductory. But then, they moved a little bit too fast for me. I watched it up till episode 9 and overall, it's fine if you binged it imo. But I heard episode 10 is a bit different, so I'll see how they handle the last 3 parts.
