That's the way I rate also. So, From Me to You (the movie) is from a few years ago. I, personally, liked it better than the series. The series was still good and it's on Netflix.

I'm with you! I watched From Me to You (for the umpteenth time) last night and now trying to figure out what to watch tonight. These days, even the rom/coms are spending time in melodrama land in the middle episodes. I say, find a genre and stick to it! And, personally, I don't find it romantic 1) when someone dies, or 2) when the main couple don't end up together.

So was I!! I always have to read comments before watching Japanese things, I can't do sad endings.

I am SO glad I read reviews to find out how shows end before investing my time. Thank you for your review. I'm running away from this one!

Thank you so much for your comments. You have reinforced my reasoning for waiting until a whole series is released. I'm sorry, but for me, it shouldn't be called a romance if it doesn't have a happy ending. i don't even like open endings. Crossing this one off my list!

I'm enjoying reading everyone's comments. I wait until a show is fully released before watching it, I'm not good with delayed gratification, so I do all my waiting up front! I'm glad that people are liking Hwang Min Hyun in this, he was my favorite person in Alchemy of Souls. So, I'll continue to skulk here to see what everyone's thoughts are. I'm hoping they can maintain and not drag in the middle.

I totally agree. No physical affection between parents and kids. Then, for couples, especially when they start dating and have had their first kiss, they go on dates and then just wave good bye to each other. I often think, "A real couple would hug here", etc. However, that's one of the main reason I started watching Asian dramas, i like more being left to the imagination. I do, however, with all my heart, wish they would get rid of the open-eyed fish kisses!

It's not real, the story takes place in the future, and they wanted tech to look futuristic.

I'm hoping your guess is correct. I'd really like to be able to see this before the Korean remake (love the ML in the Korean version, ordinarily I don't think I'd watch because I understand it doesn't have a happy ending?

The CEO apparently paid for him to have surgery., his secretary called him Santa Claus during the wedding. The priest was signing for her. I thought he died in the snow, but apparently like they said in The Princess Bride “He was mostly dead.” Was he misdiagnosed? I’m glad he didn’t die, but I thought that was a given.

This show depressed me.

I think what you are saying is correct, along with all the typical tropes that seem to plague K-dramas. But, personally, it's sometimes a comfort thing for me. I can kind of turn off my brain and not have to think too hard. Everyone has differing opinions. A correct opinion for me may not be the correct opinion for someone else.
