Yep, novel is basically very loose inspiration. The plot spins around FL escaping her arranged marriage (she's 15) and she stumbles on a hanged princess, meets the ML (he's like 16) and they investigate together.

There is no Li Peiyi, Xiao Huaijin or anyone. Fl is Wei Shufen prime minister's daughter and ML is Li Yuangui 14th prince.
