I had to watch the anime after finishing this and for those who enjoyed this drama, definitely check out the anime, you won't be disappointed! It's still hilarious as hell and it's not often I say this but I did find the drama to be better than the anime but I do recommend watching the anime too! I wish they adapted Nakano somehow into this.
What did you think of the friends breaking it off though? I thought that was unnecessary.
been weeks since i last watched it and I don't exactly have the best memory but i remember the way they broke it off was dumb and unnecessary. iirc they broke it off because rio was now healthy and sakuto was back to his original self so they decided "lol guess there's nothing to do, kbye"
that's me trying to remember it back but it was so unnecessary and dumb, I pretended those scenes never happened at all.
This turned out to be waaaay better than I had expected. Idk, maybe because I was too bored and my expectations…
I think the "Lack of showing romance" thing is because I don't think they showed much of how they got together, it was friendly conversations here and there (they had a date but it was more like friends hanging out rather than dating) and the next thing you know they're living together now.
I don't think it's that big of a deal regardless but still would've somehow liked to see a bit more of romance before they start getting their disputes
I didn't watch the anime or read the manga. I'm one to keep an open mind and I try to be positive and appreciative when it comes to watching any film.. especially these live-action adaptations.
Keep in mind, this was a musical movie. You can clearly tell they put in a lot of time in their musicals and hats off to them since they're not dancers so and this is the first time Kento's ever sang in a film as far as I know. Other than that, there's not much to say. The plot is really weak and I'm not exaggerating, I only stayed for the first half because I didn't want to drop it and I knew they worked hard on the musicals. Things got slightly better after the 1hr mark but even then, it was still kinda boring, not gonna lie. The story didn't have much going on at all and Mitsuki Takahata had better chemistry with Saito Takumi & Kaku Kento. Sato Jiro is gold as always, Kaku Kento is.. Kaku Kento and Imada Mio didn't do much :/ Hats off to Mitsuki-san too, she's a good actor but she was trying her best working with a weak script here. Her singing voice is soothing to listen too and I just found out she's an actual singer, I'll be sure to check her out! Kento is also a good actor, but here he doesn't offer much in the movie, he's just eye-candy here.
Anyhow the message I got from this movie is that you should be you and you shouldn't be embarrassed or ashamed about yourself. You shouldn't force yourself to change just to get your SO's attention or to have them to take a liking to you. If they care and love you, then they accept you for who you are. Everyone has flaws, but you love their flaws because they are a part of the person's personality. So be proud of who you are <3
Overall, the musicals were nice, I still think there were a bit too many imo but they were nice audio and visually. I don't see myself rewatching this ever though.
6/10. tbh i would rather spend my time on something else..
edit: i see only one. one person does not mean everyone here. don't make things up.
