As someone who has followed the Chinese entertainment industry for quite a long time, I have to say this isn’t…
Thanks for explaining. But just to be clear, they receive all 40ep before signing contract? Its mind boggling that they change the script so much during shooting, surely the contract after its happened in the past to him, he would add clauses to not allow this to happen again? Like each ep, min 5-10min of air time etc. But what about the loss of money, from having filmed a battle scene and not including it, so dumb and malicious.

Wouldn't the highest stakeholders and investors come in for ML/FL though? Its crazy these other minor companies get so much control over a project.

"which can further encourage more aggressive adjustments in favour of supporting roles." - thats crazy sauce wow. To change a script based on fans reaction is such a rare thing and super odd. Sounds like the industry is way more toxic than I thought.

Im new to c-ent, so what I know is k-ent only. Kdrama artists only get 4/16 episode scripts before they sign contracts. And obv after signing they look for investors (using their name to appeal to network channels etc) and the investors after signing usually force the script to include a sudden romance plot or whatever etc they think would sell well. So either its for the better or worse. I've seen it go both ways tbh. But once the artist gets the script and filmed it, it would make the final cut surely. Minor editing loss of scenes kind of normal, especially losing filler scenes is normal.

So in c-ent, out of 40, do the artists get to read maybe only 10/40ep scripts before signing contract? And why are they filming so much but not shown, wouldn't the script they have reflect what will be shown? Its one thing to film whole battle sequences and not show it vs cutting it down etc. Surely artist are aware when they the get the revised scripts each ep? Minor filler type scenes removed is normal.

Surely when reading epX script he would see lack of scenes for him and alot for others, so it wont be such a surprise? And I don't mean fl, as I think POJ was always a female centric drama (so no surprise to any artist) and I don't want her scenes cut down to be clear, but more so the 10 random supporting casts that seemed to accelerate with viewing time as show went on etc. Leading to frustration for a lot of viewers.

And if most money is given to mls for casting, why would you do them dirty? Wouldn't you want to get your moneys worth and having more scenes of them, not to mention the audience wants that?

i feel like the leads' romance were put in the backburner ever since the story progressed from Lin'an. YQQ and…
exactly, they kept building on yqq/qm and sacrificed the mls. Giving them plots like: mixed signals, choppy edits, unclear if they're back on or off, one small scene without proper depth - so it was bound to suffer.

"Blossom" is clearly the best show I've watched during the last 12 months, IMO it's worth trying at least.
thanks I'll watch it soon.

I saw many people rating 1, and the ratings still haven't dropped? Or the ratings here isn't updated yet?
1 is always a hater, fan of other artist/drama, jealous etc.

I have a question. Can someone tell how old is Yan zheng/XZ in the drama because I think Changyu is 19 yrs old.…
21 ml and 18 fl at start of show. everything else is just error in timing of the "17yrs ago massacre" and the "alternate ending" - just coz of the casting age of the kid etc.
