This movie is a definite so-so for most people; a decent work of film but not anything extraordinary or new. The story is warming - predictable (in a non-romantic sense), but meaningful. To be honest, if it weren't for Nishijima Takahiro I wouldn't have watched this, but after viewing the movie I don't think my feelings for Signal would change much, even if Takahiro wasn't the main character. Aside from seeing a few familiar faces, the acting wasn't anything special enough to take to heart, but Kora Kengo's character left me thinking. He portrayed a great villainous role, but it was unfortunate that his character didn't get to be developed all that well, even in that circumstance, his acting was held to accord and I wasn't all that displeased. There were little bits and pieces I loved of this film, the rural setting of the film, the cinematography, the simple-artistic vibes, and *cough* Takahiro Nishijima *cough* -- There's no twists or turns, everything is very foreseen; if you're the type of person who likes to just sit back and compliment a director's piece of art - this is your movie, if you're looking for a heated dramatic romance, prepare to be disappointed if this movie is your choosing.
