ngl it took lil time for me to get hooked up to the show but once I did I truly enjoyed it.. what I loved the most is how love and rs between thame and po is shown very simple very natural and extremely healthy.. it feels very comforting to see them falling in love and how easy their rs is overall.. another absolutely best part about the show is they choose the right actors like I have liked est since lbc 2 and I wanted to see him as main lead since then cause I knew he had potential and he did a great job as po and I love seeing how much support and administration he is getting now truly deserving and I would be watching any show he is in now.. but who also really won over me is the actor thame he was such perfect cast for thame the soft spoken yet someone with a very strong personality who is also very soft and kind person just amazing, plus the way he talks and his(william ) speaking voice omg!! just beautiful.. and also they have great chemistry with eo so that's another plus... overall the plot was simple they did try to touch some actual issues idols face which was nice to see..in conclusion I would say if you're in a mood to watch smth simple lighthearted, comforting which would leave you with a feeling of rainbows and sunshine this is the show you should go for
it's so fucking good i binged watched it to 12 epi and I really can't wait for the next epi i really don't know how some of you'll who started watching it from the release date cope for a week when some of the episode ended on those cliffhanger..
if only they didn't have so many fuckass cuts this would have been 9/10 drama 😭 I really fucking hate china bl censorship!!!.. the story the characters the actors all of them are sooo good even subs have done a decent job but the abrupt cuts and direction ruins some moments I wish they had release an uncut version separately 😭 also anyone who have enjoyed this drama should definitely watch bright time (it has better direction the cuts not very abrupt and the bromance is just (b)ROMANCE lol)
I started watching this for shits and giggles but stayed for the plot cause the way the plot was plotting I was SAT. I love the characters esp hua yong it was refreshing to watch a character who is "obsessive" actually acting and be insane and obsessive I love him (tho I wish there was no nc scene but this was abo verse so it doesn't come as a surprise) and all the characters have natural chemistry so it really worked.. spl mentioned to gao tu char my boy suffered more than jesus there I wish we had gotten more of his story and the actor who played him was the best actor among all of them I wish to see him in more in good dramas.. and on contrary the actor who played shen welang really need to take acting lessons he was really stiff in compared to others.
overall 8/10 - cause the story was intriguing like you always wanna know what's hua yong gonna do next now and the second leads melodrama is also entertaining.
p.s. I really wanna know how any of these actors was able to keep straight face while saying all those dialogues (guo tu stronger than marines) cause I would be on floor laughing everytime.
i didn't think I'll enjoy this show so much especially the 2nd pair I'm loving them sm I can't wait for next episode... i cannot believe it's gonna end in next year 😭
LMFAO i HAD EXACT SAME QUESTION also when khen smash his hand in the mirror it's bleeding but when cut himself suddenly he is ghost and cannot have even have mark of it ??.. ngl the plot on the paper is really good cause i really liked the plot twist, I was guessing that khen is the one who is ghost maybe but never thought the whole group would be the ghosts so that I did find intresting but the execution was so so soooo bad and sorry the actors were worse I wish they had atleast choose actors who has more experience maybe that would have saved the show a little

it is needed to show cause that is how media is perceived otherwise audience will be desensitized to these real issues of life... but anyway i feel the same that no matter how much i explain to you will not get what I am saying cause you're refusing to see it from real issues perspective but like you said have it your way.

i never said you said that but the show portrayed it that way it dismissed it and gave us the "happy ending" and a drama needs to show the after effects when they touch sensitive issues like SA otherwise it's just desensitizing the audience to it.. she loved and cared for him so just bc she refused to being intimate doesn't mean she was treating him like a pet.. before that scene his character is shown as kind and understanding of his partner and respecting her decision but after that scene his character became reduced to a man who will cheat and blame it all on the woman who thinks being in rs equal to having right to s*x which contradicts his character.. and if he felt like he was being treated like a pet it should have been shown in context of emotional needs too but it was in this context instead which is not right.
