I am not imposing anything I am just saying that just bc sumn doesn't agree doesn't mean what I'm saying is wrong.. SA will affect ppl no matter what ppl just don't move on from that, I didn't need him to fly in rage or anything loud (when even that is a justified reaction) but they didn't even show how it affected him (which is addressed in the book as the other comment said) "couple eventually do it" is exactly where it's non consensual (be it man or woman who "gives in") never said she was not wrong i specifically mentioned only that scene and his "I'm not your dog" cause it gives an impression and justify that just bc you're in rs you automatically have right to s*x which is obviously wrong cause even couple need to "allow" eo for it. like for example they could have add a 30sec scene right after it that he reflect on their conversation remember what he said and admit to himself that he should not have said that or he was wrong for that and immediately that scene would have redeemed.

it is okay it's a public forum everyone has a right put out their opinion... I haven't read the book and it's good that they have that in the book cause I was disappointed cause they didn't even show how it affected him in the show and suddenly it's happy ending.

i agree with the opinion that it is a flawed story and presented flawed characters it was meant to be that way from the start you can tell that immediately if you're sumn who consume media vividly but just bc you don't agree and it's a flawed story doesn't mean wrong things become right instantly and those harmful narrative are justified especially when we live in society that always try to normalise these things and I'm not even talking about cheating here cause that's the que of morals (it's wrong I don't support it at all) but topic like SA and misogyny (esp when it's regarding consent ) should be handled sensitively and properly.

her saying "why not with a woman but with a man" is exactly why I added in my og comment that all of them are unlikeable... and i actually wasn't disliking his character until that exact scene... two things can be right at the same time that she was being weird and homophobic but was also right when she said "is it bc she was not allowing him" and allowing is the right word too as it's giving consent.

honestly it was all a big mess to me there was many ways they could have taken that story but they didn't

she was hurt by the cheating already (and cheating not justified just bc she wasn't ready to be intimate, he could have just broke up instead) so her saying just bc she "didn't allow him" is already justified cause she is hurt angry and also right cause she is the one who will give consent to it as she is the owner of her own body, plus she also admitted her mistake.. him saying "I'm not your dog" just normalise everything he has done and also downgrade his chr to me cause before that he was being reasonable and trying to understand her and he is kind and giving like that.. . it could have been handled better is all I'll say it's lack of part on the scriptwriter /dialogue writer

I did watch the whole show I'm not saying she was not wrong for keeping that from him but she said " i feel bad/guilty for not allowing you" which is how a person consent to which he replies "I'm not your dog" which gives an impression that "if you're in rs it immediately means you have right to sex" which doesn't sit right with and they could have done a better job to handle infact that whole scene and line ruin his chr for me

the plot centred around "how desire/intimacy is also very imp in rs" and they could have portrayed it in so many ways yet they choose the worst way.. two horny men who cheats and reeks of misogyny ...( not forgetting the way how SA is handled in a "causal way").. the characters has no development, they are stupid all of them and unlikeable. also like to mention the worst handle scene (after SA) was the hagiwara and koari breakup cause he says " I'm not your dog" when girl is just talking about consent.
