PLEASE!!! They are addicting, it's the thought that their broken edges fit together, Vegas is offering all of his shattered pieces and Pete is working on assembling them back together. Vegas and Pete aren't set up to be contrasting, I know they are incompatible at first sight. Pete is a ray of sunshine with darkness underneath and Vegas is broken, he lashes out in his despair to hurt others. Pete reaches out for someone who hurt him in every way possible because his kindness is overshadowing everything else and Vegas is confused because he thinks of himself as unloveable. Pete exudes kindness wherever he goes while Vegas is emitting danger all around, they come from two different worlds and yet they find each other and many of us find that beautiful.
AND THE SCENE WHERE HE TURNS AROUND? AGHH like Vegas was in enemy territory, very aware of the mortal danger, yet he chose vulnerability, he was shot from the back but he didn't think twice before turning around when Pete asked him to, he CHOSE to be weak and because of it, he made himself a target to other attacks and I think this was something Vegas was fully aware of, he knew that the second he turns around, his walls will crumble by the sight of his awaited love, he knew he was in danger and this is when Pete sees Vegas' flippant cruelty for what it is; an armour. An shield that he's been wearing since childhood and he dropped it all for Pete only to be thrown on the ground from a stranger and all of this while catching a glimpse of Pete's smile and to him, it was worth it.
I mean 2 months ago they said daemi is working on the script for the season 2 ( not the book but the show) and apo said its in preproduction, i mean everyone is working on it so it would be weird to suddenly drop it
