I never said this was a BL. It’s a bromance and it was never advertised as anything else. High School Frenemy is the same but has clear homoerotic undertones, that will be the case for this show too. I don’t need kisses or explicit confirmation to see it. The way they look at each other says more than enough.

Don’t worry about that comment, it’s not worth taking seriously. Leaving aside the fact that it is LITERALLY written by AI, the whole thing is extremely inaccurate. Immortality was Tencent’s biggest C-drama investment in 2021, and to think they’d risk shelving it entirely or “straight-washing” is nonsense, they’d never jeopardize it like that.
More importantly, the production team already clarified years ago that there is no straight ''romance''. You literally can’t just “add” or alter a thing like that if it wasn’t filmed, those scenes either exist or they don’t and we know for sure THEY DO NOT. Just focus on the positive here. The reason Immortality hasn’t aired yet is because Tencent wants to make sure it can air safely without cutting too much. They could easily butcher it just to pass censorship, but they’re not doing that. And they will not shelf this. They’ve invested too much money and reputation into it, and they won’t risk destroying the core of the story. And let’s be 100% clear: it’s impossible to suddenly add a hetero romance, if it wasn’t filmed, it simply doesn’t exist. Forget that completely.
