I didn't enjoy the change either but I saw it coming, they basically threw it in our faces since episode one. Ken does not exist in the book so he was obviously plastered there for a reason, it was just too evident.

Tawan never loved and only used Kinn the same way Vegas did to him now and it's the perfect karma! I loved how they put it all together.

Pete was always the most trustworthy person. He is a ball of fluff that can be flipped like a switch. He is ready to do it all, to use violence, to kill and be killed for the sake of his job. This change of attitude is perfectly underlined and I loved to see dark Pete.

Kimchay is gone tear us apart. Chay's ultimatum to Porsche is foreshadowing the pain that will come when he finds out the person he's in love with also lied.

Kinn, my love do you remember Pete?? Sweet, loyal, responsible, hardworking, the one who walked into hell with your approval while you dick down Porsche and forget his existence

But build confirmed that pete would chose vegas over kinn if he had to save one of them this season I don't think he would go to that extend unless it was love

Personally my main focus was always vegaspete even before the cast was announced -- just based on the book with no beauty standards in sight I have always preferred them. Moreover each couple have their own toxicity after all it is not meant to be a healthy representation, it's okay to actknowledge and point out the many fucked up things that go down in the show as long as they don't criticize the audience for it.

Tawan went through the same experience in this episode as Kinn did years ago when he got betrayed. Deserved

Vegas was more than intrigued by Pete's tolerance and but he hid it again to sneer at him however there is an undeniable curiosity in his eyes. Vegas is used to people submitting to his power. But Pete is taking that away from him, he's strong will is driving Vegas crazy
