If you want to see the main characters current relationship/dynamic, then you should. But to understand the story of this prequel, I don't think it's necessary.
The story definitely feels rushed but I have decided to accept it and just enjoy the main leads' dynamic. It might not be the best show I've seen but at least it's entertaining.

I guess it's because a lot of people (including me) love the original series and the original actors and we are scared that this version won't be as good. Also, imo the type of comedy used in the original drama is one of Japan's specialties and the plot is something only Japan can do. GMM is gonna have a really hard time trying to imitate the essence of the original version.

I agree with what you've said. This show is very complex and every viewer is free of agreeing or disagreeing with the characters and their choices / behavior. But my issue with '180 Degrees' is that I don't care about the characters. Therefore, there's no reason for me to analyze the story. And because of that, I'm unable to enjoy this drama.
