I didn't watch the new episodes, but yes, in the first eight episodes I did have trouble following the cases.…
Ngl, if it wasn't because of the ship, I wouldn't be that interested in the drama, which is very ironic because when I read the novel, I was way more invested in the cases than the bl moments between the ship 😅
Fellow novel readers, I have a question for you: Am I the only one who is having trouble following and understanding the cases and how they are related? I've read the novel a few years ago and one of the reasons I loved it was because how easy it was for me to understand the story. But with this adaptation, I'm struggling to understand what is happening since I barely remember how things unfold in the novel. Maybe it's just me since my attention span is super short, but I feel the way the drama has been edited is making the story harder to understand. If I hadn't read the novel, I would be 100% lost 😅
jokes on him though, especially since the third person is her ex lol
Sameeee. I'm so curious about how they'll handle this topic. This is the second jdrama about polygamy currently airing. I wonder which one will explore and discuss polygamy better. So far, I'm enjoying this one more 😆
jokes on him though, especially since the third person is her ex lol
Can't wait for the next episode to see how the ex will react to the unexpected proposal. He'll go from being a lonely man with a pet to a man with two partners 😅

But tbh, just based on episode 1, it feels like the boyfriend is more interested in the ex than in his girlfriend. He couldn't believe his girlfriend broke up with such an amazing man 😆
Low-key wanted to smack the boyfriend ajdjajxja. I need him to explain his thought process because wdym he wants to be with his girlfriend forever BUT it will only be possible if they add a 3rd person into their relationship 🙃
Anyway, first episode was good. So far, the ex is my favorite character~
I had a similar idea. Like, maybe Youku is testing the waters with this broadcast. If everything goes smoothly…
i'm pretty sure viki doesn't pick shows from WOWOW so i don't think they will decide to release JITD on their platform. on the other hand, we have a better chance of getting the JITD on Netflix, so I'll fill out the request form.

same, i literally think about every possible scenario where somehow we get the original version of the show. i just can't accept the fact they have cut scenes 💔
I had the most random thought today and decided to share it because why not. I definitely don't think there's a chance this will happen but... just thinking about it makes me be able to cope with the fact we are getting a more censored version of the show:
Basically I just thought what if when the drama is over, they announce they will release a DVD/blu-ray of the "uncensored" version of the drama. Meaning, they would re-include all the deleted scenes from episodes 1-8, plus other scenes that might have being cut from episodes 9 onwards without our knowledge since we don't have the original version of those episodes to compare them to. I'm saying this because I watch a lot of Japanese shows and almost all (if not all) of them always have a DVD/blue-ray release with extra content like extended versions of scenes, spin-offs, bloopers, interviews, etc.
As I said before, the chances of something like this happening are extremely low. And even if they actually release a DVD/blu-ray for the show, it's very likely that it will be the same version we are currently getting 😔
How do y'all know that there were some cut scenes like I just watch what I see
for the first 8 episodes, we know they cut scenes because we are comparing the new version with the old version of the drama. from episodes 9 onwards, it's a combination of things: scenes in the novel that don't appear in the drama, "old" scripts from the drama that were previously shared by staff, and according to some people, some transitions between scenes are too abrupt/ sudden which probably means something was cut
