Title Overdo Spoiler
Why are people saying he died? I haven't seen the full scene as it happened yet so correct me if I'm wrong about any of this, but I've seen some clips and comments/descriptions around, and from these it actually seems quite clearly implied to me that he doesn't die. First he sees people who have died who are telling him he should get up and go back to Susu and Lean - this is a common theme in NDEs, people recover and say they met dead loved ones who told them it's not their time yet and they should go back and it's generally considered a clear sign someone isn't meant to die, that their place is still on earth and not in the afterlife yet. Then comes the dream sequence - people who just died probably aren't gonna have dreams about how happy their life on earth could have been - this fits much better with someone in a hospital.

Will this also start on Viki tomorrow or with a delay? I don't see any episode placeholders yet.

the word Sabina does rhyme (because Chinese separate every english to translate in Chinese characters, here Sabina…
They're saying yuanbai/圆柏 though? All the Chinese subs (at least as far as I watched) also just say 圆柏 and I think many Chinese viewers without botanical knowledge wouldn't know 圆柏 can be translated as Sabina
Edit: Oh sorry, nevermind, I just rewatched, I missed that short second where they showed on the computer screen that it's called Sabina, I only paid attention to the dialogues first time watching

Just found it on mangotv type the chinese letter instead of english name. It should be sub but machine translate.
Seems it will be on the ChinaZone Youtube channel in a few days, no date yet (and no word on subs but since there's some international interest they will probably put them sooner or later) but they're uploading all the promo so it seems likely. I think their subs are usually better than Mango TV

Is it really bad to get this rating?
It only has 3 ratings so far (apparently 2x9, 1x4), that's not a representative amount of ratings at all

This is definitely not a 10. The over dubbing is out of sinc. ♥
It's not dubbed... Did you watch on the original WeTV page? Might be a technical problem of a ripped video

One thing I really hate about this whole Squid Game phenomenon is that it brings in a bunch of Western entitled…
Just read an article released in my country stating Squid Game is popular because BTS made Korea popular and that groups like BTS (calling them "androgynous looking Ex-Hip Hoppers"?!?!) and Blackpink are part of a "trend that started with Japanese mangas and anime" (WTF does Blackpink have to do with Mangas and Anime?), that "internet is leading to an androgynisation of fashion" (whatever that means... Well, that statement comes from a "Japanese futurologist" but what does a Japanese futurologist talking about androgyny have to do with Squid Game?) and that "despite nationalist propaganda South Korean trends now even managed to reach China" ("Now" managed to reached China?! Dude Hallyu was big in China way before BTS and way before the West cared and never really went away. Of course, mention of the recent "feminine men" thing but no mention of THAAD, because that was before Western journalists cared about Hallyu and before the trade war.) Now that was a WTF trip through random pretty much unrelated standard Western journalist takes on Korea, Japan and China

Who cares. Watch drama for plot or don't watch. Cmnts like yours are soo damn annoying smh.
Haven't watched this drama yet so I don't know how bad it is, but you know acting is a very important part of dramas/movies?! Actors not being able to move their faces is a very valid criticism of the art.

i think it exploded in popularity compared to others kdramas BECAUSE it's not censored. like people enjoy the…
I think it's partly because yeah, "dark" shows with "shock factor" tend to have it easiest in the West (which I don't really like that much and is one reason I prefer K-Dramas, though once in a while I do watch "dark" Asian dramas too - but well-dosed among a sea of others, and with the "shock factor" ideally being on the subtle side). I also think part of it is that compared to other "darker" Korean Netflix Originals this plays somewhat stronger into those "Weird, quirky Asia" stereotypes of the West - like you know that obsession with "weird" Japanese game shows.

Tbh I can't help but feel a bit disappointed because I've been watching K-Dramas for almost a decade, have been wishing for K-Dramas to become huge and bigger and bigger for almost a decade, and now after all those years of waiting... there's that huge hype happening and I can't feel part of it at all because it's just SO not my type of drama.

So I watched a little bit of the trailer and I asked myself what’s the point in giving the FL more years in…
I mean there are people like that in real life, and it'd make sense for them to date someone younger (though lbr with less than 10 years difference, in any drama with the genders reversed the guy would be super mature and the age gap never brought up anywhere.)

Damn. I was really looking forward to this. This was going to be my first Korean sitcom.
I already hated Welcome to Waikiki and dropped it early because I thought it was too gross/childish/too much toilet humor but wanted to give this one a try because the international conecept seems fresh but I guess not :/

it is a little bit funny for dilraba dilmurat to play as someone who is on the opposite side of the turks lol
Actually back then during the Tang dynasty Uyghurs did have a complicated relationship with other Turks, there was constant infighting between Turkic tribes and Uyghurs did usually ally with Tang against the Goktürks back then

i think this drama is as popular as the Word of Honour
1 episode a day 4 days a week is literally the normal publishing schedule of this drama for non-VIPs though, Word of Honor is the same (now even at 3 days a week. Though it also has subs for its VIP episodes now that's only been like that for a week and most I-fans don't seem to have a VIP account and seem to still be watching on the non-VIP schedule)

The sound quality for dubbed vs. not dubbed is always very different. Maybe it's because I grew up with everything international on TV dubbed so I heard a lot of examples of dubbed vs. undubbed material throughout all my life but for me it's usually really easy to recognize whether something is dubbed over just by the sound of it without even having to see the image and how it matches.

Is this drama dubbed?
Some characters including the female lead (as well as second and third female lead, the glasses guy, some other side characters) are dubbed, for other characters it's the original on set sound (no dubbing, also not dubbing with own voice)

From what I've seen the "glorifiying sexual harrassment" comments of K-nets are because of the gisaeng place's name being a reference to the Burning Sun scandal
