Medical drama with goodlooking leads n interesting small stories...

What I like:
- Main leads... their chems is good, they can act, n visually they both look good... IMO their portrayal as doctors r believable, they both have good characters n they stay in characters from start till the end (smart, strong, passionate about their duty)... plus the ML is funny while the FL is stubborn, so for me their bickerings r cute...
- I just like medical theme dramas...
- The plot... in the beginning these volunteer doctors join a small island hospital to treat local people... it’s interesting to watch the small stories behind the people who live there, the contrast between the modern world n the island kinda life, to see the newcomers adjusting their lives there n how the locals see n treat them...
- Not really a luv triangle... SFL is kinda annoying n obviously still wants to be with ML, but she is engaged to his BF anyway, so not that many unnecessary moments... SML likes FL, but no efforts so yeah...

What I dislike:
- Around eps30 forward, they focus on the investigation of the virus outbreak n this plot thickened till the end, but IMO not in an interesting way... the way everything unfolded was too long n boring with long interrogations which honestly I skipped like lots!
- They kinda wasted the mainleads... I don’t need them to be lovey dovey, but in a drama I prefer to see the leads in the same scenes, at least knowing they r in good terms n at the same place where they can do their job, side by side investigating stuff together... but nope the last 10eps there were so little scenes they shared together n in the middle of it there was an unnecessary misunderstanding, typical drama... plus the ML got too much alone scenes with the SFL, no romance, but still too much IMO... so for me it was disappointing in those last few eps, coz they started off really good...

Overall if u like medical drama, then u should check it out... i think the medical parts r believable n entertaining... the casts r good too... i admit sometimes it’s kinda hard listening to them speaking in English coz u know it’s def not their first language, but it didn’t ruin the drama for me... I enjoyed it...

Counseling&healing drama w/some romance...the psych aspect is unexpectedly not heavy...I like it!

What I like:
- This psychology drama is unexpectedly not that heavy! Throughout the drama they r presenting different kinds of cases by showing mixed characters who r basically have mental problems n need counseling... like how ur life partner can manipulate u to stick with him by messing with ur confidence... or how someone could be like a chameleon n trying to be u by scheming n lying to get that affection n attention, n some other situations... I find this part really interesting... n I like how they conclude each of the stories...
- The supporting actors they use for those cases r the people u often see in other dramas, so acting aspect is so far so good...
- ML&FL r visually good, n I like their chemistry... romance part is a bit slow burn, they r officially together in eps13, but they already acted like a dynamic duo early on, they r always together n even live together for a while, so for me it’s enough... I like their characters too, she is naive n at first a bit judgy, but she is a lovely person that’ll grow on u... ML is the typical handsome cold person who is smart n good at being a psychologist, he is FL’s mentor in this Psych aspect... I always like this kinda relationship, the working side by side to tackle problems kinda couple...
- The Psych Team & friends... I like how they r this one big family, no backstabbing people, also lots of funny dialogues between the leads n their colleagues... the comic girl n also FL’s manager r ok, they got romantically involved with the Psych Team members, no luv triangles between them...
- I like how the plot moves, it’s a good pace for me, I rarely skipped! Mostly r interesting, I just skip sometimes when the villain is on the screen, that guy plays a lot of bad characters in other dramas, he is good at it, n I always hate him for it, that’s why I can barely stand him...

What I dislike:
- Some annoying dubbings here n there that don’t match the lips movement, especially with the leads... but lots of dramas r like that nowadays, so it doesn’t bother me that much...
- This drama airs only 2eps per week! It took extra patient to wait till the new eps is out...

Last 3eps hasn’t aired... so i’ll give the summary when it’s all finished... but so far so good, n I definitely recommend it if u r interested in watching a psychological kinda drama... however this isn’t the thriller psycho kind, this is the studying people with mental problems n trying to heal them kind...

The drama should be called “The Captive” or “The Patient”... but good chems between ML&FL...

What I like about it:
- The chemistry between ML&FL is good! Eventhough they spent lots of times apart, but when they r together they just clicked... esp in those flashbacks, they look like a cute real couple...
- I like the concept, drama with actions n some romance between the leads... it started good n promising, but then the villains somehow dominated n framed ML again n again, so it went to a dark period... felt like the villains won lots of times n it became so hopeless for the good guys... however around the last third of the show the plot picked up again n it got better... the good guys start to see the light again n became more active... the pace was ok again till the end...

What I dislike:
- The villains got so much screentime! Some eps they even dominated the drama more than the leads... I have nothing against the actors, they r good villains, but I’m watching this drama for the mainleads, so it got annoying when I watched n more than half eps I could only watch the villains... these parts I skipped like a lot...
- The plot went to a dark period where ML got arrested again n again, plus during the captivity ML was so hopeless n only getting tortured, almost no action! Again I watch this for ML, n seeing him like that is just a bit depressing... it’s ok if this period is only for a few eps, but nope, he is a captive for lots of eps...
- near the end the plot got better, but then the last few eps were a bit flat... somehow after all the things have been built up, the unfolding part in the end was just unsatisfying...

This drama got its ups n downs... I don’t think it’s that bad like some say, just don’t have high expectation starting it, then u’ll be ok... honestly I kept watching for the ML n his chems with FL, so make sure u really like them or I don’t think u’ll enjoy this drama... I skipped lots of the villains part, they were just too much! at least it’s a happy ending with some unnecessary weird scenes in the end... I don’t regret watching it though... overall it was an ok watch for me...

Luv the first 8eps & it could’ve been one of my faves this year… i’ll take the HE…

I haven’t been so invested in a K-Drama for a while, n at first this drama was so good that it made me watch it on going while waiting impatiently every week for the next eps to be released… but halfway it just went downhill n it made me so frustrated watching it… i’ll just take the HE…

What I luv:
- The storytelling… every eps has a weather theme where they somehow connect it to relationship subject, n the way it was told is just something i have never seen in any other dramas before… it’s just refreshing that we could see different kinds of relationships n even learn some life lessons in between…
- The main leads… i luv PMY & SK, visually they just look so good together n i like their chems… i’m not a fan of noona with younger guy story, but this one is ok for me… SK has improved in his acting IMO n he suits this character…
- The first 8eps is just so good! We got some adult relationship probs which got solved after 1-2eps max, some weather BTS stories that’s just so interesting to watch n even some romcom sweet moments here n there between the leads…
- The weather forecast people as the background story is something new for me… i don’t know if how they r portrayed in this drama doing their job is accurate, but it’s something really interesting to watch…
- The casts… everybody is doing a good job with their characters…

What i dislike:
- Storywise after 8eps was just a trainwreck… it felt that they changed the writer… it was angst after angst n every week it managed to disappoint me more n more… i kept watching n hoped for a miracle twist so it could go back to the original path, but nope it got worse, so sad n frustrating to watch…
- Plotwise, how they somehow make SML & SFL, the cheaters exes of the leads, redeem themselves n show them as good people… SML cheated on FL after 10years being together n 1month b4 their wedding with SFL where FL caught them on bed in her apt! But guess what, the scumbag n his new wife got a good story n even a very good ending where they r happily married n expecting their kid… this just makes me so mad!
- The lack of screentime our leads together in 1 frame after that 8eps… in some eps they had maybe almost zero screentime together, n even if they do, it’ll be only work related or full of angst n no happy moments… SML&SFL got so much screentime together, n honestly i don’t care about their story… n even the leads got more screentime with their exes compared to with each other… ridiculous, right? 🙄
- Don’t believe that this is a romcom, it might be slight romcom in the first 8eps, but after that is full melodrama, the depressing kind with lots of misunderstandings throughout the few eps…
- I don’t know how writer thinks that this is what reality is… for example, 2mths after that scandal n SML married SFL, all work in the same office… after some bickerings, somehow the leads r in good terms with their exes… they, esp FL with SML meet up lots of times where they give each other relationship advice to each other while SML keep showing off how much he luv his wife… in the last eps he even bragged to her about how he’s gonna be a father… i’m not saying it’s impossible to be friends with ur ex, but getting advise n confiding in them over n over about ur current relationship after everything the scumbag has done to her only 2months prior to this n now already acting all friendly like nothing bad ever happened between them? Come on writers, what kind of person does that???
- The ML’s dad redemption arc… his dad is the worst, he keeps asking money from him n spends them on gambling, went to his office n embarrassed him in front of everybody, etc… he is the source of all ML’s probs n actually play a big part in the breakup between the leads… n guess what, he got sick n suddenly became a good father out of nowhere… his story is just weird n a bit forced IMO… i just wish they they didn’t have to use this jerk dad plot, it felt like a neverending angst n it felt stuck, esp since in the end they let him redeemed himself in such a cliché…
- The amount of missed potentials the drama has is just stupid… the leads had a secret relationship at the office, did we get fluttering sneaky moments at the office? Nope! the leads lived together with another colleague at some point, did we get cute almost busted scenes at the apt? Nope! FL’s sis is dating the leads’ colleague, did we get a funny awkward doubledate scene? Nope! And the main point, the leads r SK&PMY… can u imagine having them playing in a drama together n missed out on potentially lots of cute romantic scenes all through the drama? It’s just a waste of them! When i think about this i’m just… *sigh

Anyway… like i said before, i enjoyed the first 8eps n it could’ve been one of my faves drama… but yeah unfortunately it became a melodrama with full of angst where the writings n story just went down halfway… however if u ask if i regret watching this? Nope! As frustrated i was, there were still some things i really liked… n why i was so frustrated was because i just had so much expectations after that solid 8eps… at least it has a HE, so there’s that…

Mystery suspense drama w/some romance that keeps u going n curious about how things will unfold...

What I like:
- The genre is kinda new for me, the mystery suspense mixed with hotel business rivalries n some romance... I like n enjoyed most of it...
- The fake amnesia plot didn’t drag, it was found out early (eps6), so some unnecessary misunderstandings were solved fast...
- There were 2 big villains n they kinda split the drama to 2parts, so first half the leads were against that Huo Jian n the 2nd part were against XMH... honestly I prefer the 1st part where for me it’s much more interesting in how they unfolded the story... plus it was a fun watch with all the suspense they gave becoz of the reckless SXY n how LZL helped her getting thru lots of probs... i always like this work together side by side kinda plot...
- The cast... mainleads r eyecandies n they r good to look at... but not only that, I like the actor, he always delivers... n the actress has improved compared to her other dramas... their chems is ok... other characters did their parts too...
- The OST is good...

What I’m not so fond of:
- The 2nd part of the drama was not as good as the 1st part... for me crazy XMH got too much screentime n for a while it looks like he dominated the story... i always hate when that happens... i know it’s not for too long, but still, the part where he kidnapped SXY’s sis n became psycho n threatened SXY with her sis so she had to leave LZL n be with him annoyed me coz he is just so creepy, so I skipped lots of that...
- SXY was good in the 1st half, smart independent gal who wanted revenge for her father... but somehow after she got together with LZL, she got a bit less smart... she trusted XMH too much n even so compared to LZL which is her BF who she was supposed to trust more after all he’s done for her... at least she got back to her original character near the end...

Overall I still like this drama... it’s a new genre for me n production wise I think they executed it well enough... it had that suspense that kept u going n curious... it makes u watch the next eps coz even if somehow u can see the big picture, but u still wanna see how they unfold things...

It could’ve been better, but IMO I don’t think it’s that bad like some people say...

What I like:
- The colors n tones for this drama is amazing! Beautiful costumes with vibrant colors... The settings r also nice... Visually u’ll def enjoy watching this drama, u can tell it’s not a low budget kinda drama...
- I like the mainleads... they look good n their acting is ok... the side casts r good too, like the Eunuch who saved her, that guy from Untamed, the uncle, that Ani&Qiuning, even the villains play their roles good...
- I rarely enjoy crossdressing kinda story, but this plot of her disguising as a man within the palace wardrobe dept is not that common background, so I find it a bit refreshing... however, I find it hard to believe that nobody suspects her as a woman all those years she was in palace... have u seen her? She’s prettier than any other women around even in disguise...

What I find lacking:
- The screen time of the main leads being together r just not enough... they r visually super goodlooking people, so I was hoping to see their interactions more...
- The FL character is just too annoying sometimes... like I get that she’s mad when ML gave her mom’s golden pin to the enemy, but it doesn’t need that long for her to forgive him, right? She was mad at him n being sulky for more than 5eps! By the time she isn’t anymore, she got poisoned n ML gotta leave her to find the cure... then luv triangle starts, CP wants FL for himself n forbids them to meet for 5years which is 2eps long of mainleads being apart and that’s already near the end of the drama...
- Plotwise: I’m not a big fan of too much palace politics, so I admit that I skipped some of the CP scenes esp with the king, his bro n even Concubine Wu... I wish they keep the palace part shortened, sometimes they r dragging n too boring IMO...
- I wish the drama is half palace story, n half mainleads story when they r already married... I wanna see them handling the life outside of palace, plus I wanna see how FL acts in the household being n looking like a woman... coz I don’t get why they introduce another villain near the end n it’s not even resolved... supposed some say there’ll be 2nd part? Have no idea, not sure if it’s an interesting enough story for another long drama... I wish they just put them together to complete the drama...
- There r some absurd scenes... for example: how FL knows how to dance that good when she spends her whole life disguising as a man in the palace? However this doesn’t bother me that much, so I just enjoyed the beautiful dancing scene... the example of a bothering scene is when ML, the one who is supposedly smart, couldn’t even recognize her when she disguises as a man... that’s almost always a problem with the crossdressing kinda drama IMO...

Overall I think it’s an ok drama... I agree some things could’ve been better esp storywise, but again it’s not that bad as some people say... I enjoy watching it, n it’s a happy ending...

In my top 3 best romcom of 2020! Luv the mainleads chems! RECOMMENDED!

Highlights:
- Liking how it’s the opposite of the most common drama characters (this one the rich dominating CEO is the woman n the “kinda normal” character is the guy)... they r both really goodlooking n so well matched…The chemistry is superb!
- There r character development for the mainleads n the other casts… even people u hate at first, they end up being ok people n in good terms with everybody... super happy ending kinda story…
- The kid actor is just super adorable!
- I like it plotwise… it’s not like a unique plot, it’s a contract marriage turn to real luv, but it’s definitely an entertaining watch, almost no boring moments, I rarely skipped scenes in this! which I do usually a lot for too boring/angsty parts in the drama… maybe there r some a bit too cringy moments for some people, but they r ok for me coz I just like the mainleads acting together, so natural... n I’ve watched their other dramas, IMO they r each other’s best partner so far...

Things I’m not too fond of:
- It took 6 years for them to reunite? It’s just too long to leave someone u luv like that, esp if u don’t even have a good enough reason to separate in the first place… she could’ve just gone with him to Germany since she gave up the company anyway… plus he deserves to know about his kid, he missed the first 5years of his life! I know they use this to make a big must have problem in a drama so they can have the last 10eps fixing that or there will be no important plot... plus they might wanna use a kid that’s big enough to act super cute n smart, so that time gap is explainable... n yes like I said before, Lu Youyou is just so cute, so his presence is just worth the time gap!
- The cliche “they knew each other from childhood” plot… though in this drama it’s kinda needed, since it’s the big reason for him to say yes to the contract marriage in the first place…

Overall it’s in my top 3 best romcom of 2020... Highly recommended! They have only 1 major break up! Yeah I know it’s a huge one, but still compared to some dramas that give soooo many breakup moments, this is an ok one... plus eventhough they got separated 6years in eps24, but on air aspect for us as watchers, by the next episode they already have an encounter again,so it’s not like we gotta wait for a few eps of them not meeting each other... especially for romcom lovers, this is a MUST WATCH!

Funny fluffy family romance drama w/a twisted plot near the end (the dying kind!)...

Highlights:

1. The casts & actings r top notch!
Main leads’ chemistry is good, the sidekick friends that became a couple r so loyal n hilarious, the women’s club r funny n entertaining, there were no real villains (just unbearable rich parents and a stalker who is also a murderer, though he is in only in the drama for a short time), no real 2nd lead (the doctor likes her, but she never sees him more than just a nice guy, plus he isn’t a bad person so not annoying)... every side character got their small part n all r executed nicely... the dog Mimi is so cute! Basically the people in Eunpo is one big happy family, luvin that small town people vibe...

2. The plot
It started off so good! The fluffy funny family drama with some romance n lots of type of relationships... I was hooked from the first episode, especially after Jun-aaa came into the picture... Anyone would want a Jun in their lives... just the way Jun has always been there for Rara is just so cute! All those part time jobs he had to do just so he can lend her money... I admit I was annoyed by Rara at first, she was such a spoiled brat who can’t do anything! She takes Jun for granted... But along the way u sees her best side, not that useless side, n I like her character gradually...

Things I’m not a fan of:
1. Also the plot, especially the twisted plot near the end of the drama
10eps in n I was kinda surprised by the lie that Jun told, he is a highschooler! I really didn’t expect that kind of twist, but that is still kinda acceptable, it explains Jun’s behavior a lot... not actually a fan of noona type of romance, but this one is ok coz the age gap doesn’t show that much visually...

after that, things kinda went up n down, all the unnecessary separations, the on and off again, “the I let u go for ur own good” kinda plot, done by both main leads... I thought this would be a light drama but suddenly the main lead is dying! I cried a lot the last 2eps... then the half of the last eps is just WHAT??? How can u not tell someone u luv that u actually hasn’t been dead for the last 5years! And IMO isn’t it weird for Rara to not ask where Jun was buried? If someone u luv dies, u’ll for sure wanna know where his resting place is n at least visit it one time right? Plus Jun is the son of the rich family, if he dies, his death would be a big news that’s not hard to look up online don’t u think?

2. Too much repeated flashbacks IMO...

Overall this is still an enjoyable drama up to the last eps when Jun supposedly dies n not reaching out to Rara for the whole 5years! I don’t know if I’d forgive him that easily... the so called “forging ur death so ur loved one could get over u quickly” plot never works out for me... especially when u suddenly come back and not even explaining urself well n just expect her to be ok with it just becoz u survive a deadly disease... I wish they give it a better ending... at least after that give them a nice wedding with the whole family... I’m still relieved it’s a happy ending though...

Fans of Yunxi gotta watch this... but even if u r not their fans, u’ll def luv their chemistry!

My highlights:

1. The main couple’s chemistry r just what u expect... if u luv them in LOY, u’ll def luv them in this...

2. The casts r good... main couple for sure, the 2nd couple is cute, XuJin’s entourage r so loyal n even funny, Fu family r a warm loving family (really like the lil bro, he’s cute!) The villains r hateable, so I guess they r good... not a fan of the king though, he’s just not a wise one IMO, so quick to make a judgement and give punishment, and when he is wrong (which he almost always is), he just dismiss the case n make it not a big deal... I guess that’s ur right as a king? Liking how some casts from LOY made an appearance here n there...

3. Liking the OST and the costumes... I also like some references they made about LOY...

4. Storywise I like it a lot from begining till eps 28, since first angst happened in eps 29 (first wedding with
big misunderstanding)... but after the reconciliation in eps32-33 till the end, not a big fan of how things unfold... repeated mistakes r just annoying n to make that the major conflict is just not my fave part... n the divorce plot again n again? Not a fan how they make something like a divorce some kind of a play...

My list of things I wish had and hadn’t happened:

1. The “I hate u, u kill my father n we r now enemies” plot which dragged a few angsty eps... I wish instead FuRong & XuJin had an investigation together side by side to prove how he isn’t the killer and Ruyi’s Pavilion isn’t that bad organization... I hate how FuRong’s character repeated her mistake by not trusting her beloved Xu, she should’ve known by that time how he is as a person, n to think he kills her dad? Come on!

2. My main reason watching this is coz I wanna see the chems between the main leads... n yes the 2nd couple r cute, but since they r not the reason I watch this in the 1st place, I think the main couple deserved more romance near the end to kinda conclude their journey.... they deserve those moments! N so do we! Even LOY had more defining moments, even if it was sad near the end...

3. I wish there was a scene of XuJin visited Fu Residence and had interactions with FuRong’s whole family... He didn’t even visit them the whole drama! (unless if u count when FuRong’s father die in the funeral scene, which is one of the worst scenes IMO...)

4. I wish they had a proper wedding with a good kiss to end the drama...

5. That lightning thing? Don’t really get that part... don’t know why she had to die first then resurrected?

6. I wish the SML XuPing had a more important reason to be the main villain... IMO his reason is just so dumb! N how he kept claiming he likes FuRong but did everything that he did? I just hate him n I have no sympathy for him in anyway... he’s just a jealous delusional person who needs reason to hate XuJin, so he just assumed XuJin kills his mom n his hate goes on from that... plus FuRong (the girl he claims to like) is XuJin’s wife n in luv with her hubby, so he hates him more for that...

Anyway, overal a very enjoyable drama... I like it eventhough there were some unnecessary plots n too many angst! I guess C-drama is like that? at least it’s a happy ending, so there’s that... I hope we’ll get to see them together again in another historical or even modern drama, just luv their chems!

Waiting for that extra scenes in modern world impatiently... hoping they’ll release them also with the supposedly 8eps worth of deleted scenes... crossing my fingers!

A fun light law romcom with good ensamble of actors…

What i like:
- The mainleads r both great actors, they portray their characters well… ML is a smart conflicted guy who’s in luv with FL from the beginning n FL is a pretty sassy girl who is kinda annoying sometimes but also has the biggest heart… their chems is ok, especially entertaining when they were bickering…
- The supporting casts are good… i like how they r this big happy but with a bit problematic stories, who support each other throughout everything … when they r together, there r lots of funny scenes… the villain is also good, u’ll hate him for sure…
- It’s a HE with a big nice wedding where all casts are present, even their clients, the best kinda ending…

What i’m not too fond of:
- The plot is a bit too predictable… n it’s getting repetitive in some parts, like FL got a new case, she went against the big bad wolf, ML&the casts help, then somehow solved… over n over like that… however i like how the casts r there for each other from the start… i like their dynamic, n it’s what makes me like this drama… so I guess it’s not that big problem for me?
- The hostage scene in the end is ridiculous! Somehow everybody was there n watching while ML was held hostage n fought for his live… there were def times when the police could just take out the villain, but nobody did nothing… 🤦🏻‍♀️
- The casts r just there, not really having a background story for most of them… so it’s not the kinda drama u’ll be hooked emotionally…

Anyway… i always like when they mix law with romance, for me it’s just interesting… so overall i still really enjoyed this romcom… however I wouldn’t recommend this to people who expect smart plot & some kinda twisted surprise, there is none… so just keep in mind this is a light fun watch with great casts n some funny scenes… if u like that kinda drama, then just give this one a go, u’ll like it… 😊

Not heavy drama with lots of good characters who meet up, investigate & fight evil together...

The overall story is about 3 brothers n 1 lil sis who r from the martial art world that come to the normal world n got mixed up with worldly & government probs... they met their spouses during different probs&situations that occured throughout the drama... they also met other good people who eventually become their friends n with whom they fight the evil together...

I kinda like:
- The relationship between FL & her bros... they r somehow so different in characters n have various kinds of relationships... N talking about her brother, halfway thru LiHongYi was introduced as the 6th bro... i like him! I’ve watched some of his dramas n his character stood out in here eventhough only as a support role...
- The genre, it’s about investigating crimes... FL&ML’s jobs in the first half is about finding clues n investigate stuff... everything they investigate is actually things that lead to the conspiracy of villains between 2 nations...
- The people around ML&FL r all good people, there r no stabbing in the back kinda thing... the villains r just frontal kinda villains...
- The ending where everybody gathered, all the good casts r there looking happy...

Mixed feelings:
- The chems between the leads r just ok for me... maybe coz they describe FL as young, so their relationship is so subtle... but they r cute sometimes, they had their small moments I guess...
- The mainleads’ characters... FL is supposed to be smart n witty, n she is, but sometimes she acts so righteous n that annoys me quite a bit... ML is the typical coldhearted guy who got his heart melted becoz of FL... the downside of it, he is sometimes such a boring character... n how he faked his death to FL that she was heartbroken for a longtime just such an unnecessary thing to do, esp since they were already married... just the kinda plot I hate coz somehow the series needs a final drama for the leads...

I kinda dislike:
- The storytelling part is kinda boring... there r some parts in the drama that I find so flat that I had to skip scenes every once in a while...
- The 5th bro’s death... I guess we should be grateful that from all of the good casts, there is only 1 death... but still, it was a sad moment...
- It looks medium or even low budget... I guess it’s a standard webdrama, nothing special about the set, wardrobe or even the script n the directing... everything is just so so visually...
- Some scenes were cut I think? Coz sometimes we expect to see a certain scene, but suddenly they r already on the next scene... or is it just bad editing? I have no idea...

This is a drama u watch when u have nothing else... IMO it’s not that bad nor that good... if u r looking for romance only, I don’t recommend this, there r romance parts, but it doesn’t really focus on that n the skinship is very subtle... i enjoyed overall story, but there r so many boring parts that made me skipped some scenes... i think as long as u don’t expect much, u’ll like it more... like i said, it’s just another web drama, nothing extraordinary... but it’s not a heavy drama with lots of good characters throughout, n most of them got their happy endings, so there’s that...

Republican Drama that I actually really like! Not draggy n superb casts!

What I like:
- The casts! They did a good job in casting the actors, i like the mainleads n their friends... the villains also did their part... lots of people in this drama, even the cameos r familiar looking people that u often see in other good C-dramas...
- I like the leads’ characters, esp FL, she is so smart n independent, not the damsel in the distress type... yes ML helps her a lot by protecting her in secret, but she is still a brave person that doesn’t let people bully her... i also like ML, he is super smart n sometimes even cunning, but to be in his position n to protect everybody while dealing with the villains, it’s just something he needs to be to get the job done n IMO the actor played his role perfectly...
- The main leads’ chems is good... even from the start of the bickering till their happy ending, u can tell the progress of their relationship, not that slowburn, but not that fast either, it fits perfectly for me (they officially got together in eps17 I think)... n their relationship is just so good n healthy, they communicate n share everything... they somehow understand each other so well, that even in one bit angsty part when ML kinda being a jerk to FL n pushed her away to protect her, FL foundout why he did it n stood by him till the end...
- The SML looks so good in his uniform! Haha... I was a bit in dilemma at first coz he is just such a nice n standup guy who looks so dashing, who wouldn’t wannabe with him? But unfortunately for him, he was born as his dad’ son n his dad is the main villain who did most of the bad things in this drama, including the tragedies involving FL’s fam... plus eventhough he is such a gentleman in all aspects, he could barely stand up against his father, at least until the last part of the drama... IMO he also nailed his role, especially as a dilemmatic sad boy...
- The story n the plot is good... I like how the leads always work side by side from the start till the end... It doesn’t drag n I barely skip any scenes (just some angsty scenes between eps28-32)... n it’s a HE for almost all the good guys...
- I like the set, the wardrobes n the OST... it’s a Republican Drama, the genre that I rarely watch, but it’s just an enjoyable watch...

What I’m not too satisfied with:
- Why Tan Si dies? I cried when it happened... he deserves to have a good ending...
- That GY’s death is necessary I know, but that’s also such a sad thing... she n that funny friend also deserves a happy time together...
- I just don’t believe that all 3 evil warlords could have 3 nice n respectable sons... since the mothers weren’t in the picture I think, it means the dads raised them somehow n all 3 bestfriends turns out good? Don’t get me wrong, I like all 3 of them as characters n their developments, but IMO the possibility of that happens is just so unlikely...
- The ML’s sis... I know she is cute sometimes, but as character she is just mostly annoying... all thru the drama she just does almost nothing n only chasing PS... I know she finally got him, but to achieve that she is absent from school n even quit school for sometimes, then she moved to Beijing for him while doing nothing... she has almost no development n no important plot beside supposedly changing PS in a way... so yeah, I don’t hate her character, but I can’t say that I like her either...

Anyway, I really like this Republican Drama... superb casts, it has short angsty part, almost no misunderstanding coz FL is smart, not draggy, n happy ending for almost all good characters... I recommend this drama, just try it, u won’t regret it n will def enjoy it like me...

One of the cutest on screen couples this year… hidden gem! light sport drama u’ll def luv…

What I luv:
- The leads r the cutest! Their chems is just so natural... one of the best pairs in this year for me...
- Good casts... I like ML, I watched his drama b4 n I like his playful but sincere act, he looks good too... I wasn’t too sure about FL, it’s my 1st drama of her, but she acted good... the BFF’s story was ok I guess, as individuals they r funny, but their relationship part in the drama isn’t really interesting IMO... I like Coach Zhuang, ML’s coach n FL’s dad, he is so funny... ML’s childhood friend n his GF r also interesting characters...
- Eventhough it’s a youth drama, but the relationship between the leads r really good n healthy... they started from contract couple, to good friends, then the best kinda lovers...
- It’s a HE with the best ending... the leads won the championship in the end after all the hardworks they have done n all the bad things they’ve been through...

What I dislike:
- Xiao siblings! OMG those 2 characters r just so annoying, best manipulators... I know every story has to have villains, n in this drama it’s them... luckily their angsty parts just popped up here n there without creating that many problems for our leads, but still they just annoyed me a lot...
- The wrong person confession scene... why would anyone confess to someone in the darkness without making sure first if the person they r confessing to is the right person? This part is just so stupid! I think it’s just a way for the writer to justify XQ’s (one of the Xiao I mentioned b4) bad behavior... it’s just a bad/lazy writing IMO... n this part made a major mess for our leads, but thankfully it didn’t drag, just an eps of angst (eps21) n afterwards in the next eps they officially became a couple, so there is that... i still think it’s an unnecessary scene though...
- The figure skating part isn’t that believable... it’s not that bad either, but if u only wanna watch this for that part, it might not be a suitable drama for u...

It’s a sport drama with a very good message, u gotta persist n work hard for your dream, in the end u’ll get the best result n achieve that dream... but being a winner doesn’t mean u need to treat all people as ur enemies, just stay being a good person, coz when u do, people will back u up n even some bad ones can even redeem themselves... I’d def recommend it to anyone who likes that genre, plus the leads r just too cute to pass...

Melodrama halfway, then heavy business plot till the end...

IMO, u could only enjoy this if u r a big fan of Shawn Dou or Li Qin, otherwise I’m sure u wouldn’t last till the end... the plot is just crazy, what an emotional rollercoaster!

What interested me at first:
- I like Shawn Dou, so I watched lots of his dramas, he always delivers in his acting, including in this no matter how rude n annoying his character is... he looks good n manly in almost everything, n that cute smile helped getting thru this mess... Li Qin is ok too... Leon Zhang had a presence, so eventhough he actually only played in the 1st 6eps, he was one of the factors that this drama was interesting at first...

- The chems between FL&ML is good... FL also had good chems with SML, so it was a lil bit of dilemma for me, but since he isn’t the ML anyway, i knew he wouldn’t last...

- Plotwise was enjoyable till halfway...

- How cute ML in the last few eps when he wanted to win FL back... i wish they had stayed on this path longer instead of the heavy business plot with the usual angsty misunderstandings...

What made me lost interest:
- Plotwise after ML was suddenly framed n sent to prison... he became such an annoying character, esp to FL... even after he was out of prison (honestly i’m not even sure how long he stayed there, this part I skipped a lot!)... anyway when he was out, he became an ass, even after everything she’s done for him&his dad...

- The push n pull between the leads was just an emotional rollercoaster after that halfway point... it’s like FL has a tendency towards emotional torture... like when he is at the bottom, she is there for him, taking care of his dad n stays with him no matter how harsh he acts towards her... but when he is finally better, being his oldself n nice to her, suddenly she has insecurity n thinks that they r from different worlds, so she avoids him... like what? why has she stayed then? only for the torture? They r adults n smart people, but somehow they don’t get the concept of communication... 🤦🏻‍♀️

- The heavy business plot... there was almost no screentime together between the leads, again after that midway till almost the end... somehow to takeover the company, ML has to disappear n leave FL without explanation... why? Just tell her something... the miscommunication part is just so unnecessary, the typical “I want to protect u so i have to stay away from u“, but actually hurting her all the way... n this plot lasted more than 5eps near the end... n yes, they got back together only in the last eps, last scene to be exact! I hate when that happens... their friends got the happy ending (even the evil one), including the double wedding... while their ending is just a promise of staying together 4ever, a hug & a kiss in the beach... usually that’s enough, it’s just after all the tortures, it feels like they deserve a bit more than that... n IMO we as watchers deserve it too after that trainwreck!

- The side characters got too much screentime... like FL’s BFF & her BF, the ML’s assistant story, IMO their story isn’t that interesting... also the evil guy got too much screentime, n somehow after everything he’s done he kinda redeemed himself without punishment? n there r many unimportant characters in the mix, mostly for the business plot, so yeah, i don’t know most of them thx to my FFWD button... 🤣

Anyway, like I said before, only watch if u like one of the leads like a lot, or big chance u’d drop this fast... for me I stayed for Shawn Dou, n even then i skipped like a lot! Esp the prison part n the heavy business plot... so yeah, first halfway was really enjoyable, then it took a deep dive into a chaotic mess, almost like a point of no return... at least it’s a happy ending with a few cute moments towards the end, so there’s that...
