Am i the only one feel JCW's acting is bit over in this drama? He tried very hard to act an ordinary countryside man but seems had difficulty to immerse himself into the character, well...maybe he is too good looking for that role hahaha
You've read the webtoon? Is it like an actual superhero manhwa (like Superman/Spiderman type)?
Just briefly read online when the casting news was out, quite a refreshing take on the traditional superhero story. In terms of genre, i think it is a combination of slice of life, super powers and comedy. The ML's Girlfriend is a newly added character that doesn't exist in the webtoon btw.
Seems there is no love line in the original webtoon, they will add it in the TV adaptation or what? hope there is not much of it, an action-fantasy drama with social relevance narratives would be cool enough.
I haven't watch this drama yet, but I'm seeing how it has low ratings. Well, actually 3% is an average ratings…
3% in TvN is def low for weekend drama. Probably domestic viewers just don't like the genre. Disregard all the conspiracies, JTBC has been doing well in viewership this year also because they changed their lineup to more 'easy to watch' dramas such as Dr Cha, KTL etc. In the recent viewers conference, JTBC officials said they intentionally abandoned the prior approach of producing heavy, dark drama with low rating and changed to light dramas that are better accepted by the public and younger generation.
It is reported that "No Way Out" will change the male lead. Feel sorry for him and his career may probably end like that. He has been giving the public a good family man image and now this... My Mister is one of my favorite k drama of all time..sigh..
Just finished binge watching. Overall it's an entertaining show with some touches on humanity, the plot, character, acting and visual effects everything on point. But the final group battle (in school) dragged on bit too long and was boring at some part, it could have been shortened to 2 episodes and the ending would be more engaging.
The overall box office performance of Korean movies has not been doing well so far this year, with only a few movies are able to make profit. "Dr. Cheon" may be the only one amongst 3 new movies released during Chuseok holiday that is likely to be profitable. Disregard the commercial factor, my pick is 'Cobweb' which got the highest critics rating from Cine21, will go watch it when it releases in my local cinema.
Well deserved My Dearest for a big rise in rating, best of current airing shows. But perhaps due to its historical genre, this drama seems got better viewership in domestic market than global, the number of watchers in MDL is only about 6.5K and it is not trending in platform outside Korea. They should promo more to int'l viewers.
Why did they have to cast Lee Jun Ho for the role of the man in her dream? (it says so in cast details)They could…
It is just 'voice' cameo of Lee Junho, the man appeared in FL's dream is still NM. LJH and NM are good friends since Good Manager, and thats why... his appearance was reported by korean media so in a way had helped to hype the show. Cameo doesn't go thru normal casting n mostly due to personal relationship.
