My favorite part of episode 9 was the grandmother taking Gu Won to the bank to open a housing/home purchase account…
yes it is very heart warming moment and i love their interactions. IMO the grandma is best supporting role alongside with Sang-sik. Also, in EP9-10 we've seen how Guwon had changed gradually when he got more involved with FL's life circle and that will influence how he deals with his problematic family and business later i think.

This drama is so good๐Ÿ‘It looks like predictable story because it is a romcom but it is actually different on…
Agreed. the backbone of story is cliche but the detail development is quite unpredictable. They are able to add entertaining elements to keep viewers engaged n not bored. And the characterization and acting level of main roles are different from prev romcoms,

KTL was No. 1 in the Netflix Weekly chart last week, this week dropped due to release of two new shows. #7 i guess…
The daily chart on Flixpatrol combined both Eng and Non Eng titles whereas Netflix's weekly chart separated them. If we take out the Eng shows from Flixpatrol chart KTL should be ranked like 3rd or 4th. But anyway, KTL has been doing well on Netflix, as being the 3rd non Netflix original kdrama ever reached No.1 in its weekly ranking.

I gotta say ML suddenly turned very mature and insightful lately, especially when it concerns FL. Kinda feels…
The ML is still at his โ€˜lostโ€™ stage though he is 30+, he has no life goals. Apparently he isnโ€™t as mature and competent as FL, but it gives room for character development. The core of KTL is about ML finding his life goal through love (sarang), friendship and probably latter his mother. I don't feel there is sudden change at this point while we have seen some changes on him gradually, even at work he started to show principles and beliefs in doing business and not just a lovestruck. Guess there is bigger change when the inheritance war gets intense. I only hope the writer could make the transition of character smooth in the 2nd half of the drama.

Lee Seyong (the red sleeves) excels in deep/ emotional scenes whereas Yoona seems better for comedic roles. I…
Think so. That also shows when Lee Junho choose co stars, he did not simply based on acting level but considered the suitability of the character and genre more.

The second half of ep 8 was nice. Jun ho with eggs in his mouth looked cute. I liked how he distorted his face…
Same here, the prince and love triangle trope in ep 7& 8 was cringe and kinda boring. To me the best parts are the scene in the bath house and the crossover x the red sleeves where Guwon's inner Yisan came out haha.

why is nobody talking about ๐Ÿน junho
tho everyone talks about the kiss, i like the Bath house part a lot more. Guwon is cute, and more important we start to see his change when interacting with ordinary people and be more considerate of other people's pov.

So, I've seen the a lot of Koreans who praised the kiss scene on naver, but elsewhere they really disliked it…
Where did you see the disliked comments? Before watching the episode i was told it got a 2-3 mins kiss towards the end and thought it gotta be too long and boring.. But end up i think the scene executed pretty well because there was emotional build-up at the start and a break before they went on deep kissing.

1. The chemistry between the leads arent bad...however i can also see the female lead for the red sleeve starring…
Lee Seyong (the red sleeves) excels in deep/ emotional scenes whereas Yoona seems better for comedic roles. I am not a fan of Yoona, but can't deny that visually she fits the role as a hotelier quite well.

It gets its rating because of the immense popularity of it's cast, can you believe a 2PM member and an SNSD member…
If your statement is correct, then all highest rating dramas should have been starred by idols but in reality is absolutely not true. On the contrary, most idol actors' drama didn't get good reception in Korea as domestic viewers are very critical about acting., Lee Junho is probably one of the few exceptions due to his acting ability.

Some people keep bashing this drama, but its popularity says otherwise. The harder they bash, rating goes higher haha. Just to admit that the silent majority indeed loves cliche shows.

i keep wondering why this show feels like an old romcom but also feels so new at the same time.
I'd define it a modernized cliche show with higher level of production and acting.

The acting of main leads literally saved some weaknesses of the script. especially Lee Junho's range of acting is top notch in EP3, in few scenes where Guwon's family issue set in it looks like angst drama not a light romcom.
