In one of the episodes a child was buried after being burned all over from a fire but then somehow returned to his mother and then died again from internal wounds while hearing the bell. Any explanation for that? I originally thought he was captured and somehow escaped but his original body was found in the burial ground. This was a haunting, sad and yet beautiful drama which I did not expect.

There have been a few Chinese dramas I have truly enjoyed but a number of them have voice actors for the main characters. This means that the terrific performances do not necessarily belong to the actors/actresses I am watching. I understand that there are voice actors because China wants the same dialect but real actors would learn that specific dialect instead of having their voice dubbed. Please no negative, nasty responses but if you have a decent explanation for this I would not mind hearing it.

I felt it was partially regret of what could have been but also accepting the life she now leads. It reminded me of the last quote from Splendor in the Grass. "Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory of the flower, we will not grieve; rather find strength in what remains behind." Goodbyes are not easy and I read that the writer, Celine Song, wrote it was about 3 goodbyes. One when she leaves Korea as a child. The second is when they stop Skyping with one another in their twenties and then the last goodbye is at the end when each have chosen different paths for their lives.

In episode 16 they are officially together but in secret. Slowly others become aware.

I believe a person is innocent until proven guilty...found guilty in a court of law. I would think if you were in trouble you would hope for the same.

Looks like you and I are mature adults here. I wonder if some of these people here will be the ones crying when he is driven to suicide for the destruction of his life before the facts are actually known. I'm for punishing someone if they have done wrong but not before it is proven. In many cases people are accused falsely and even though the truth eventually comes out their lives are already in shambles and ruined. There have been cases here where college boys were accused of rape and it turned out to be a lie but they lost their scholarships and future job opportunities.

And if he didn't cry or be upset you all would have attacked him about that. If he remained silent it was no good and if he is trying to defend himself it was no good.

You are no doubt a moron. By the way, while this actor was supposedly dating this minor where was her family then?

I am really shocked at the posts here ready to basically crucify a person based on what they have read or heard. The only two people who know what took place were him and her. She and her family obviously had issues. She was the one drunk driving and had her contract terminated. It was her and her family decision to have her work as an underage actress. Her family is just discovering all of this now is to me very suspicious. All these people are humans, not the characters they portray on film, and mistakes are made all around. There is no forgiveness in these posts or questioning what is true or not. Many of you just like to join in the show which is basically about destroying another person and his lifetime career. He too has a family. He too has a lot of people who rely on him. Why don't you look in the mirror and see how perfect or imperfect you are before tearing down another. And before you attack me here...I have not been a big fan of his but in the 4 years of watching Asian drama, I have seen more than enough people destroyed by fans and anti fans. Really awful. Instead of criticizing why don't you get on with your own lives.

Thank you. You are right. I finished this drama and absolutely loved it. After a while I figured out the characters lol.

This story is about a mother who has raised her 6 daughters by herself and the struggles they go through to find the perfect match for each daughter. Each daughter and their male partners have a set of episodes dedicated to their story. I found the longest story line was Shou Hua, the oldest daughter. The youngest and the adopted daughter get the least amount of time but they are seen throughout the drama for character build up. There is a male lead for each daughter. Each daughter and their partner are very different with very different story lines.

If you mean Shou Hua, the oldest, it is around episode 19.

Actually what bothered me a lot was woman empowerment but so much man bashing and belittling.
