Four Stars

In this episode, we get to see how Ji Ho, Jung In and Gi Seok already in one place without knowing the other that the two parties already knew each other. I specifically like that scene where Ji Ho talks to his son while the snow is falling & Jung In who's waiting for her turn in the bathroom and hearing a glimpse of that cute conversation. I like the pacing, the progression & dialogues blends well

Four Stars

I live stream this through MBC but eventually, watch the English subtitled episodes. This episode scopes us more to Jung In's family, as well as to the supporting character's family line. This episode I like how it's straightforward especially with the characters and how they already tell their conflicts. The relationship between the sisters, I really love that. I think other than the romance, I really like the aspect of sisterhood in this drama and I hope it continues like that. This episode starts off with Giseok and his dad who's having lunch then it shows that Jung In's father also has expectations towards his daughter Jung In for her potential marriage with Giseok. Jung In with her sister Seo-In got invited to a dinner with their parents but the conversation really doesn't go well when Jung In stand for her rights about her views towards marriage. There we get a conversation with Jung In and Seo In as sisters and being there for each other. Jung In visits to the pharmacy where Ji Ho works to pay back the items that she purchased & for the money that Ji Ho lent her but instead of accepting it by Ji Ho, he proposed that they will have dinner instead; Jung In declined and said that there is no chance again that they will meet again. Little did they know they will meet in her friend's apartment since Ji Ho also live there on the third floor, Jung In thought Ji Ho is stalking him but apparently he lives upstairs of the apartment. After the talk between Jung In with her friend, Jung In sent a message to Ji Ho; she apologized about the misunderstanding. As messages exchange from both, Jung In got worried about the last message that Ji Ho sent to her so she decided to meet up with Ji Ho clear things up. Inside the pharmacy, Jung In and Ji Ho both confessed that both have their own dealings. Jung In said she has a boyfriend who might she plans to get married while Ji Ho said he has a son and a single parent. When both have their conversations, the curiosity that Ji Ho build up for Jung In gets broken as early as it is but as the daylight comes, Jung In with her younger sister Jae In went to see a basketball match and surprisingly Jung In sees Ji Ho again.

Four Stars

I live stream this through mbc which has two episodes that considered to be episode one on Netflix. The first episode didn't disappoint me, I actually have high expectations to this because it's from Ahn Pan Seok and it's because I anticipate this for Han Ji Min. I was caught off guard that the pairing of Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In actually looks good too & they seem perfectly fits with their roles and for the potential romance. The episode starts off with Jung In with her friend who is about to go to her friend's apartment then cuts to the next day where Ji Ho is playing basketball with his colleagues then he meets Gi Seok who is a senior in his college as well as his friend's senior in the company. Jung In who stayed the night with her friend's apartment sees the time and in a rush went to a pharmacy to buy a medicine for her hangover; there she meets Ji Ho, the pharmacist. Both already have their first impression of each other but one of them already sparks curiosity. As we go to the final act of episode one, we get to know that Jung In has a long time boyfriend while Ji Ho is a single dad who has a young son.

One Spring Night is often compared to Something…

One Spring Night is often compared to Something in the Rain because it has the same scriptwriter and director, there might be similarities with how the angles, flow, shots, ost, and vibes probably because for us to know that this is Ahn Pan Seok’s work that he has a certain kind of technicalities on his hands but to tell you the truth it’s different especially with the story; the characters are not perfect, they are selfish, they have flaws, they even admit that to themselves. Also, the story somehow often associated with the subject of ‘cheating’ between the three characters as for the first impression but for me I think it’s more than the subject of cheating but the series shows the emotional depth of the characters in its layers and how they deal with their conflicts in a way you could feel irritated, satisfy or sympathize with them. The characters are straightforward as well as the story. It’s a slow pace but it’s the kind of slow that burns. The side characters also have an interesting subplot that actually blends with the main plot and I love the side characters as they are really a foundation for the main characters. The simplicity of the flow, the possible metaphors & symbolism in this series and how it’s very humane, really got me. I love how each episode doesn’t lose its momentum and I hope it continues throughout the series. One Spring Night is not yet finished but we’re already half-way to it. The first week of pilot episodes really didn’t disappoint me and they meet my expectations. I have good expectations to Ahn Pan Seok’s work and the following weeks after the first two episodes didn’t lose its momentum. There is a lot of variety of dramas airing in a week but One Spring Night is the only one that really gets my feels. I’m glad that Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In are our main leads. I think I haven’t seen a lot of people crediting Han Ji Min but she really owns her scenes and this woman can contain her emotions, she is lovely on screen and even off-screen during their making film; she is the reason why I anticipate this drama the moment she confirms the casting. Jung Hae In, tbh I feel sorry for him that people often tells how he’s typecast for this kind of dramas & it’s true that we want to see him on another genre but the man can act, you can see his improvements as an actor, I bet he consider Ahn Pan Seok as a mentor and he finds the script good that’s why he agrees with it but we can't deny Jung Hae In on melo-romance is very charming. Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In has that calm yet palpable chemistry on screen and if you’ll watch their making film which by the way not available internationally, the two main leads work together as partners and even working together to make their scenes effective and palpable and during their making film they all have laughs, smiles & good conversations, you can tell how the cast & crew gets along.I also like to add a little trivia, around 2014 Jung Hae In got asked who is the most beautiful actress he has ever seen and he answered Han Ji Min, he complimented her visual as doll-like, as he already met her that time during a cast dinner of Han Ji Min’s film & on the dinner table he shared that he sat in front of Han Ji Min then on 2015 he got asked who’s actress he wants to work with and he mentioned Han Ji Min, he also shared that he met her in 2014 then Haein at that time thought that he has a low chance of working with Han Jimin because she is a very busy actress & a senior in the industry but he has high hopes to work with her then years later, 2019 Jung Hae In and Han Ji Min are main leads to a beautiful project, it took years but thank you kdrama gods for Han Jimin & Jung Haein. I hope the scriptwriter gives a good development and resolve that the characters deserve.I think a lot of people burned out from Something in the Rain and there's a part of me wish this headline first but yes, if SINTR didn't came first then the changes & improvements from the writer wouldn't be visible so yes I thank One Spring Night for filling in my weekly feels.

This is the first Korean drama that I ever…

This is the first Korean drama that I ever fell in love and the reason why I love Korean dramas. Full House became so popular in my country back then and I was just about in my 6th grade turning high school, good all times~
