As a HUGE fan of SOKP, I'm watching this thinking one of the things I like about this director, is that he brings out the best in each of the actors. They almost all are pleasant to look at, and have an inner handsomeness. He never over does or under does the makeup, no one is wearing anything silly or unflattering, or has stupid hair... everyone's acting feels so natural and un-rushed. I like how he cares about each character and actor looking their best with their natural beauty and natural talent.
@koremakaria "If scheming was a competitive sport then this man, Xie Wei, would take gold, silver, bronze and…
Xie Wei: Ning'er is mine
Zhang Zhe: No she's not Yan Lin: No she's not Ning'ers Dad: No she's not Xue Ning: No I'm not
Xie Wei: YES. SHE. IS.
GotDANG!
I saw 270-something dramas when I watched this one. And Xie Wei brutally mercilessly killed all my favorite ML's and burnt my brain right down to the ground.
I hope that director is just tapped in to what some of us want in an ML, and Moonlight Mystique will be good too because of it. I'm on ep 7 rn. IDK what I think of it yet. But... I didn't know what I thought of SOKP until like ep 34 or something. I kept coming back here like "Errr.... why am I still watching this again?!" and everyone was like "DUDE just trust me!!!" I can't believe I almost dropped halfway through, that would have been such a travesty.
The kisses and the story were both amazing. Can someone suggest more dramas with this type of male lead (a green…
Green flag, this is throat-grabbing forced-kissing you-don't-have-a-choice Xie Wei we are talking about here. I remember when this was new, we had a big discussion about whether he was red flag or green flag. I think a lot of people went with "gray flag" and one person said "brown flag" even. I guess because brown is what happens when you mix red and green together.
It appears you can relate a lot more to morally grey characters. Which is totally fine. There's no need to write…
What actually happened is that both of you watched the same drama. But the other person saw the same drama a different way than you. You did not in fact watch two different dramas, that's just an illusion caused by your opinions being different.
FL's dad just died. Didn't the ML violate the Unspoken C-Drama Happy Ending Rules by being the indirect cause of her father's death by unleashing the plague? It was him that loosed the plague wasn't it?
you look so dumb to be fighting demons assuming the plot line just by one episode😭 like just watch it further…
I'm not about to let myself get called dumb looking by someone who in the very same sentence slaughters their english, without pushback. I wonder how you would like it if you had questions about a show and got called dumb for it. Would you just stfu and take it?
The sick part of it is that some people think that a difference of opinion is enough justification to bully another person and treat them with disrespect. That's like if you liked vanilla ice cream best and I said "I like chocolate best" and you said "You're stupid." Its a trashy attitude to go through life with.
Do you really condone this kind of behavior, Jadah?
some of y'all CANNOT handle dubious fem characters and it shows
I just don't like liars. I don't care if they're dubious in other ways, but FL liars are hard for me to get behind because I don't lie, so I don't empathize. She was about to marry this dude without telling him she was permanently sterile. That's a very big lie of omission when it comes to someone you supposedly care about the most of anyone. Unless I'm mistaken and she was not about to marry him without telling him the results of her doctor's visit...?
The following is based on personal opinion of 4 episodes that I managed to watch:After watchin 52 episodes of…
aaaaagh your profile pic lol! <3 <3 <3 I looked over your watchlist, we have so much overlap in tastes holy cow. I would have recc'd Fake It Til You Make it for "calming" but you've already seen it, of course.
Maybe Shopping King Louie. It's not "calm" but its light, funny, and Seo In Guk is adorable in it.
