i don't really know where it's going, but the plot is plotting and He Yu is He Yuing like a mo fo. Hard to tell at this stage if it's good or not.

I'm watching it all with the sound off, playing my own bgm. It really makes the show so much more awesome, i don't think i can handle even 2 minutes of he yu without he yu's voice.

The action sequences are probably this director's weakest aspect (aside from the freaking decision to use voice actors), and they kinda mid, when juxtaposed to how GORGEOUS the show is.

Ever since I saw SOKP, where the FIRE doesn't start to erupt off the screen til like last 5 eps.... I will give a show a full shot at impressing me. I'm hangin in, i'm comfy. We shall see.

Edit: oh yeah, laughing. There's not a lot of laughs, but the ones they set up are super lowkey and lol funny. Well placed humor, really smooth jokes that land.

I went to several college parties and met Communications majors there, and their college projects are often things like creating portfolios of authentic-looking social media profiles, which can then be used later by clients to promote products like energy drinks, concerts, albums etc... and make it look organic. Another project one of them told me about was how she and her study partner were supposed to go out to a big party, and then hang out around a lot of people, and then have a "private" conversation with eachother, and just casually namedrop and promote the target product "Omg christy, have you ever tried ____ energy drink? It is SO GOOD OMG..." So they're supposedly having a normal organic conversation with eachother, but just loud enough for other people around them to overhear.

That's par for the course for people who have communications degrees. They then go on to get hired by companies who use social engagement to promote their products.

In this case, the product is K$H.

it's also obvious by the way many of them discuss the issue, that they either are uninformed on the WHOOOLLLEEE story and don't see the bigger picture, or are intentionally ignoring some of the stuff because it's circumstantial and they refuse to look at the pattern it illustrates because they don't want to admit what the pattern points to.

some are real people, but some are paid PR people from various agencies who want to recoup their losses on his damaged brand. Some people are unwilling to face the idea that they're talking to paid representatives of various agencies that have a huge monetary vested interest, but someone would be pretty naive to think people like major talent agencies and big companies like Disney DON'T engage in online social engagement to try to sway opinion and create false sense of consensus. They have a lot of money on the line.
