divorce freakout moment = they just needed a plot device to get her back up the mountain, because she can't get well until she confronts reality. He will follow closely behind her, and be there to watch her break and then pick up the pieces, realizing he wasn't the only one who lost everyone and everything. Then it won't be her with him out of guilt, but him with her out of guilt. The turns will table.
And then they will be even, and she won't be a nutcase, and boom there's your happy ending.
I've been wondering is he really like this or is he faking it? I ask because when he met with the consort while…
that's an intersting take.... i kind of picked that up as well but the story has me so confused it didn't even really register, but yknow what ur right tho....
I did not expect to like this show as much as I did. When I was watching the first few episodes, I was side-eying…
i think it's good production value, sound is good, costumes are good, acting is really good. But I am freaking drowning in this plot, and imo they giving too much face time to bad characters and the ML/FL dynamic is weird. idk what i think of it yet.
because the plot deserves a rewatch. but i kinda don't realistically know if i will want to do that.
im sticking with it to the end for sure, and i do hold out hope that it gets really really good in the last quarter stretch like SOKP did. but as of right now i'm just scratchin my head and don't know what to make of it.
They killed off that dude's princess, that was a huge huge bummer and made me lose some of the steam i had for following along.
I'm on ep 28 and im so so so freaking confused and i just need like... the whole PLOT spoiled and eli5'd for me if anyone would be so kind, i would be much obliged.
What I dont understand is
if the Bad Guy is working for the Empress why does she act like he's a thorn in her side and always acting dissapproving of him
if the Bad Chick is a bad guy, why did she just *give* the edict to FL just because she asked nicely? who was that other guy they kept flashbacking to in prison who gave her the edict, and i don't understand ANYTHING about that side-backstory at all?
why did that one guy climb allllllll the way up that cliff and then lose his shit when he got up there and wont tell FL anything and starts acting weird when she asks how is the school
is the empress really working against the interests of the emperor because it seems like they have a good relationship and yet empress is supposed to be a bad guy? i dont' understand? and if she is a bad guy, then why did she let ML investigate all the things.
Whats with the kid with the brother who works for the Other Prince who dissappeared after the fire who saved the chick who assasinated that chick and framed FL for it?
Whats with the Other Prince who ran away during the fire, why did he run away and why is he hiding and what is he doing?
because the entire back half of the drama, is like watching a totally different drama. A more boring and crappy and dull drama. i don't know why they had to switch it all up when it was clearly so gorgeous and spicy and fun and delicious in the first half. just don't mess with a good thing, and... well, they messed with it really hard and obvs that didn't land well with a percentage of the viewers who knocked off points for it.
They grew up as brother and sister for however long 10-12 year since she was born. It's different when you meet…
its kinky and i like it a LOT for not being afraid to go dark. They even show him feeding her her first bottle as an infant, going to her parent days at school, and in a very late ep of the show, possibly the last ep, she says something like "stop being so parental" and that triggers him to attack her with a kiss.
the only thing this show might do wrong there, is pretend on the surface that it's not as kinky as it actually is, and kind of shock or gross people out who didn't know what they really signed up for with this.
but interestingly, it's LESS dark than Hidden Love, because the ML in HL could technically kind of be seen as sort of groomy. But here there is no groominess at all because of the forced separation they went through during the time they would have been maturing.
This has to be one of the first times I paused after reading your review and decided to just dive in. Most of…
How did you like it? I'm so disappointed at how people in comments are perfectly willing to give up some of the best spoilers without a spoiler tag, so I'm glad you decided to go in blind ;)
romance isn’t focus here. it’s female centric drama and history of ink making and family. the romance is only…
tysm... so imma peace out. Love Elvis, but I don't watch non-romances and could care less about "female centric" what have you. Blessings to the rest of yall hope you have a fun watch! Elvis rocks!

are you sure, did you read the novel? im curious because Story of Kunning Palace had very little romance until the last several eps but those last several eps were HOTTT, so it counts as a slow burn. Wonder if anyone who read the novel could weigh in on this?
