Absolute hate Ren Jia Lun's character and don't like his acting generally so after trying this drama a couple of times I've had enough. Too bad, because I really like Landi Li and Jeremy Tsui.
Nice episode summaries 👏👏👏Su Ruofei finds the Jasper in Yunmu's study in Ep 16 and they realise it was…
I remember some of that Jasper trajectory, but also saw one scene where the Jasper in the dish disintegrates into the air and later one appears in the grass by the tree they visited as children and adults.
The musical journey was outstanding. The actors were endearing and the story was unique enough to stay away from too many tropes. The evildoers were a bit over the top, but what the hell at least they didn't get to go out with a boom only a whisper.
La grande finale. Some nice Wuxia but uncle swinging the gong around is just out of tune. The plot comes to naught as does the big boom expected by Bad Sis, but who can stay mad at someone on the way to becoming a housewife. Fei final concert tour ends with a kiss to build a dream marriage on. What's happened to Jasper, anyone? I really enjoyed this musical journey. If you did too, give a good rating.
ep. 23 Huang Yin's nose is usually out of joint but this time she uses it well. From Fei's wrist to Mu's ears comes the tune Shan is playing which stops scoundrel Shang's smirk in its tracks. For their evil deeds they are made assistants. What could be more demeaning? So they are planning an explosive finale if his royal brother doesn't recind the appointments.
Ep. 22 Baubles, bangles and broaches are in the ascendency. While Bad Sis plucked away and her murderous admirer grinned at her triumph, Fei and her cohorts flew into an instrumental frenzy to draw all present into a rhythmic riot of hand-clapping ecstasy.
Yes definitely flown under the radar.! Your episode guide is great!Maybe you should consider doing episode summary…
Appreciate your comment. I'm not tech-savy so I'm happy just to get some of my reactions off my chest after watching this little gem. Now, on to the next episode if I can remember where I was.
Holy Hell, phosporous fire pill is defitely lethal. Mayor is distraught. Young Lord is distant. Shan is evil. Fei is perplexed. This little drama has certainly flown under the radar so far it seems.
Just finished ep 15 and the killing squads are out for Young Lord. His majesty and everyone else has condemned Fei. Big Bad Sister's ingenious schemes have all worked her way so far. It can only get worse at this point.
Impressive musical performances by Fei and squatting while listening by Young Lord. He does wear the most exquisitely printed outfits with design work and broaches.
Bad sister is wearing a hat that makes her look properly ridiculous. I guess helping to make that banister give way for nice sis to fall in the water didn't exactly go as planned. This is a quirky little musical with three reluctant pairings. Jin is the real sad sack.
Ep. 14 finally a glimpse of the desert. What a hot mess this is, another silly bathing scene, ugly clay figurine couple, and what!? a suicide note? why? and she acts totally unperturbed ensuring him she won't open it until he's dead. His reasoning is because he has no one else in his life. So who's that buddy that's running all his errands and who's the old guy he's trying to rescue who saved his ass as kid? Drunken fish noodles win the contest, but no oasis is forthcoming.
Only on ep. 5 so I dare not look too far ahead on the commets, but I see the imposters sister is still at it and getting rewards for what she didn't do. When will the 'chickens come home to roost'? Her trying to learn the hand bells is boring and so is the lttle annoyance that is chasing Mr. Jin (used to be Chubby).
Ep. 13. I still can't get over those lips. If I were any of those MLs I would find them more intimidating than the 'inauspicious' blood she's always using to threaten with. These men can just traipse into the bedrooms of Na Zhan's 'flowers' anytime they want and play at being manly. She talks strategy with the Lord about how to use the desert, but I haven't seen a grain of sand anywhere lately.
Ep. 4 Travelling the high road to the sound of music. Travelling the low road as we listen to the arrangements that could well lead to plucking away at the secret notes of Symphony City.
Ep. 3 starts with a caterwauling competition and ends with filigree flute playing. In between, older sister fools Young Lord into believing she's his childhood benefactor. Little sister is reluctant to become his private entertainer. There's a plot in play that could have a deadly outro to this creation.
Ep. 2 That was a fabulous musical performance. Now it's time for 'tripping the light fantastic' among the swaying bamboo branches culminating in a slowly twirling descent onto a fast moving steed. Here we go, another drama trope about one girl fooling the hero into thinking they are childlhood buddies instead of the real one he met when in a dire situation. This cannot turn out well.
