Ep. 32. I get so tired of good-for-nothing prnces who feel hard-done-by. The sooner they kick-the-bucket the better. The Crown Prince has it out with Daddy only to find out he is not the culprit while getting seriously stabbed in the chest. Xihe runs to find him risking a miscarriage in the process. They lie in the snow together swearing undying love until his body assumes rigor mortis.

A creepy drama right up my alley. The ML was an odd duck who had his own way of coping with the tasks he was given. He was very protective of his female sidekick who found that being a king's daughter isn't all it's cracked up to be. They managed to take on the spooks. Happy with the ending and hoping for a Season 2.

Ep. 28 Kissy, kissy...the dam is broken and he's swept her off her feet and has her seeing stars.

Have come to the end of the drama and am feeling pleased that they gave them a happy ending. It was a very chaste love story. Both leading actors did a great job with their characters. The supporting roles were also outstanding especially the role Merxat played. Sorry to be leaving everyone behind. Watched all the little outtakes which was fun. The last one featured our leading couple sharing some cake icing on their noses. They looked very affectionate.

Ep 26, that didn't take long, I already knew in ep 25 that Master Bu would end up pregnant. She looks good in her female garb and can still wield a weapon with bloody results. So it's curtains for Prince Ning and his offspring given that both he and his scheming wife shed blood. I guess new she'll be a foil for our FL.

Oh no, Master Bu has consumated but still tries to pretend he's a 'playBOY'. "Thank you for taking me in" her lover says as he leaves her mansion. Xihe has found Bu a real male double to fake out Prince Ning. Prince Ning isn't fooled and wants what Master Bu has so he sends his wife to make mischief, endangering one of the little princes in the process. Ning's wife sacrifices her cousin who decides to bleed out from shame. Xihe confronts her by listing all her evil deeds, but gets laughed in the face because there's a little Ning growing in her belly which she's sure will get her off the hook.

His acting consists of pouting and/or frowning.

Maybe wait until she's old enough for netizens to allow them to get some lip action.

Overdone, overdose, over cooked, overwrought.

Episode 22 is epic. That mealy-mouthed Prince Qi has tortured our hero and stabbed him in the front. He thinks this is the way to get back his beloved YaoYao, who only scoffes at his efforts all the while outmaneuvering him and his puppeteer, the evil Huia Gui. LiJun is busy serving (on her back) the captivating Black Eagle while working as a spy for the man she really loves - her brother. Sadly, this is not working out so well as last we saw her she was bleeding out. Only six episodes to go. Doesn't look like there's time for a happy ending. Oh well, Our main couple, while devoted to one another now, are destined to be chaste for the rest of the run.

All it took is some mighty swings of the paddle to break down Jiayu's resistance. No doubt the happy couple still face a few bumps in the road. Li Mao for instance is same 'mr. nice guy' now that he doesn't have his sister to embrace. Then there is 'daddy-o', Peter Ho at his most manipulative.

The sore losers are watching the bridal procession. It's a sumptious wedding. Then the nuptials start with astride a horse in their festive finery and continue with no pillow talk. The morning after he pretends the kitten scratch is a hickey. There are numerous plots in the wind.

Our prince on a white horse finally get his bride. Now he can die happy.

Peter Ho's character is really indidious and his over-the-top acting is not helping.

I get it, it's New Years. We're in a Chinese drama so does everyone have to say 'Happy Chinese New Years'? The fireworks are fabulous, the story - not so much.

Her endlessly cruel Icy demeanor is really annoying.

He was in Nothing Gold Can Stay where he was a good guy but didn't last long. It's a good drama.

yes, that's where I first started hating him.

He was in ep. 16 or 17 for a short appearance with his brother, the now emperor and also in a fierce battle.
