One Plagiarizing Deitiy

I stumbled across this drama & finished it in one sitting. It was well-produced and well-paced for 10 episodes. Personally, I would have loved to see it as a sixteen-episode drama. There might be some references to other dramas like Goblin, but I believe the drama shines on its own. Its a pleasant drama to pass time & was honestly the highlight of my day~

The story includes similar tropes found in other K-dramas (lots of rainy scenes, fate, first love, etc), but it was still an entertaining drama. It's a rather basic plotline so I wasn't expecting much. I did find it more interesting as the drama went all, especially halfway through the drama where we learn how the ML and FL are intertwined in the latter epsidoes. However, the ending was a tad disorganized. The ending was honestly expected—a little bittersweet—but it isn't very clear. I have so many lingering questions after episode ten. Also, usually for dramas with plotlines like this, the ending really draws the audience in emotionally. I did not really felt as emotionally drawn in. Like the transitions were awkward. I did like the little snippets of clips they include at the end of some episodes. However, I felt as though the clips at the end of episode ten were nice but inconclusive. I can't help but wonder if there are any plans for a sequel? Also, I found it strange how Jung Ba Reum was suddenly irrelevant. He was so heavily used to drive the plot but then ends up being dropped until returning for like the last two episodes. I just felt like the last episode could have been better executed. TRUTHFULLY, I WISH THIS DRAMA WAS LONGER!! IT HAD POTENTIAL!

The cast did a pretty good job. It's the acting you would get in a high-quality web drama. They did do an excellent show acting out the uber fake, dramatic scenes—they were awkward, to say the least. I wouldn't say the chemistry between the main couple was off the chart, but it was decent especially in the later episodes. I also really enjoy the friendship between the two deities & wish there were even more scenes! They're so fun together and it was so cute to learn just how much Myung valued the friendship. I also found the mother so adorable and would have loved to see more scenes of the mother-daughter duo. The CG is also not bad for a drama, it could be worse. The OST was nice! I liked Time Machine & If it's fate, the most! All-in-all, since I speed through it this time, I personally would rewatch this in the future. Would recommend~

The cinematography, ost, and casting are great! Despite the actors being relatively new, they did an excellent job – I didn't find it flaw at all! I really enjoyed each character, even though they weren't super fleshed out. The cast's reenactment of the five boys' passion, motivation, drive, and ambition really made me wish I had hobbies/clubs and friends like this back in high school. Moreover, I seriously love the colors and cinematography! They really transport you to the past and make you reminisce the best moments in your youth.

I haven't watched the original, however, I would say all together, this was a well-made film! The beginning might be a little slow to some, but it really builds up the exciting occurrences in the latter portion of the film! I especially love the last twenty minutes or so of the film, it's so fun! The film did what it could have in under two hours — kept it simple, yet made it a good time.
