I’ll be really disappointed if this drama turns out to be bad. I barely watch modern cdramas and I’m rarely hyped for them, but this one really caught my attention and I’m so excited for it! Not to mention the main leads look amazing together, every poster or photoshoot of these two is straight up fire 🔥 Please please be good 🙏
Lol I thought it felt more like SMY was the patriarch, not SCH and in the next episode SCH actually said that himself. He even called himself an errand man 🤣
I stopped at episode 6 because I was so scared of the ending, since I know what happened in TBOY. Now I can’t start watching again with a calm mind. I’ll just pretend that SMY and SCH from TBOY are different characters 😌
It wasn’t a bad drama, but it could’ve been better. The beginning was so slow that I almost dropped it, then it suddenly became interesting and I loved all the angst, but the last few episodes were boring again. My main issue was that I just couldn’t connect with the main couple. I tried so hard to like them together, but something felt off, maybe it was the chemistry or the emotional connection. Surprisingly, I actually really loved Situ Ling from the beginning to the end (and I usually DESPISE obsessive second male leads). I felt sorry for him and even loved his scenes, which really shows how disconnected I was from Mingyi and Ji Bozai, both as characters and as a couple.
I wasn’t interested at first, but after finding out it’s a forbidden love between the leads, I’m very interested now. I don’t know how the drama will turn out, but I’m giving it a try just because of this trope 😍
