Yeah I still feel they didnt need to hide he action "behind the camera" most of the time (well, probably to make it more family friendly), if you understand what I mean. Still, i liked it even if it felt a bit generic and was very predictable, with more or less zero stakes, as a thriller... but yeah it was decent! Some of the jokes and the comedic timing was great, I laughed maybe 3-4 times and thats enough for me!
But still, read about the person above for example. I really enjoyed the article but it can destroy the fun for some people who didn't watch it yet, and you know people never read warnings nowadays. Peace

Thanks for replying! Beyond was only good the first 8-9 eps before it turned into a predictable corruption thriller, strangers from hell on the other hand is excellent! Monster the anime? That is another really good one even if I prefer the manga! I was hyped when I heard Del Toro was making it into live action but I guess the plans fizzled out completely.
I only have one thing to complain about, and that is that I wish the action scenes overall were more visceral…

Honestly from the first episode you can more or less guess how it will end. It obvious it became a hit because of the leads... Started watching A Shop For Killers today and I can only say it feels good "being back" in real thriller/noir-territory, and not the family friendly-stuff (which doesnt need to be negative). I know this one has comedy and yes some of the jokes hit the perfect timing, but I still found it very lacking overall. If it skipped the last repetitive eps after the "main mission" was solved I would have rated it higher, now a 6.5 (more than above average) out of 10 feels fair. Can't say I'm hyped for a second season, wish SJS would focus on something else.
Japan isnt much better lol. Why not just mention some woke western country.
all talents/actors get death threats all the time. its a part of the culture. ive lived there for many years and for example know what a friend who came out went through. Bullied at work until he quit. almost all lifelong friendships over, parents cutting ties. Sounds extreme? I know that this is common because I as said lived there forlong, as bi... I was just being real about the country with you, which I've lived in for many years. Your average korean detests anything "gay", if you asked ten thousand people over 35-40~ today, like 9 out of 10 would even be for imprisonment of gay people. Of course this is too much and the country will loosen up once more young blood takes over the power of the for sure, instead of the ultra conservative grandpas controlling it today.
The main leads are too famous for putting a "gay drama" in their portfolio (and destroying their careers), in one of the most conservative countries. Just being real. This is baiting at best and my guess is that it will take a turn for angst, blood and... death soon. Calling it.
