Child learn from their mother, her role model growing up. The difference is the mother didn't have a Gwanshik in her life, she may have ended up as bitter and regretful like her mother.

The noticeable character change was her dimeneor completely changed after their marriage. Dispite all her sufferings, sacrifice, she seems contented, where as before as a child, her spirit and the courage to stand up for herself,
the inequity of life made her disgruntled with the injustice of it all. she also shows learning and growth by constantly reconciled with her expectations and reality, to eventually self sacrifice. I was initially annoyed by a seemingly crying baby with a princess syndrome, but my mind completely changed by the end watching the arch. IU did a great job in the character development hitting the note where it needs to be done.

I teared up, cry laughed then the tears and smiles wouldn't stop flowing. Thoroughly exhausted by the end of 4 episodes marathon in the best way possible. IU killing us softly with her drama...again! Never thought she would able to repeat the level of excellence achieved in My Mister, but only 4 episodes in, I suspect she will get VERY close, or even exceed. The whole cast and crew brought their A game here, noticeable especially after repeat viewing. Park Bogum has his best role of a life time. He is the sun, her mum is the earth, Aesun is the tangerine tree facing her sea battaling the storms and waves. Applaud to them all.

Advice: DO NOT WATCH on Sunday nights, colleagues keep asking about my red puffy eyes on Monday meetings 😭
