I've rewatched AOS more than 3 times and I used to think this is the best drama with fantasy powers and etc until…
Thank you for bringing it up. I don't know what xianxia is but I'll look for it.

Dang, what a disappointment that the ML and FL relationship/romance is like the worst thing about this show. Why…
I've never understood "chemistry" in movies. I took it as the ML's personality - his contrariness and lack of self awareness except for the one thing he wants, his powers. While he couldn't be all 'love-dovey' he showed it in his actions many times. The crown prince liked her too and he was just as awkward about it. The only man in their circle who could openly express his feelings was Jin's nephew.

Sounds like more of a popularity contest. Where have we seen that before?

His parents are models, are they actors also? IF it's nepotism, it's not unlike Hollywood. When it gets so big that people who know people can break in a lot easier than those that nobody heard of. I hope that's not the case in Korea. Great writing, production, action gives way to mediocracy and I'd hate to see that happen with Kdramas. That's why I watch them -- I've given up on Hollywood (garbage).

his acting is mediocre at best.
Please elaborate on your opinion. I thought he was great in Trauma Code and he was excellent as a completely different character in this movie.

Same here. It haunted me for days after I saw it.

and what about the misogynistic remark he had previously made to a female journalist
Why is everyone so quick to label people today? At the risk of triggering anyone's ageism, I can tell you as a life long SciFi fan, books and tv/movies, I did not understand what they were doing with Interstellar. I started out my love of SciFi with Asimov, Huxley, Bradbury, etc., Star Trek (when it was new), through Babylon 5 & Expanse (as the best examples imo) The new stuff is garbage. Interstellar dealt more with quantum physics & maybe requires a grasp of that. Maybe as an older person I'm more immune to such things. Argue about his statements on the movie, not if a woman can understand it or not simply because she is a woman (that many people can't even define today).

I am also from SEA and I can say different people will interpret the same comment in different ways. While it’s…
As a closed adoption adoptee, sometimes appearances are all we have to go by to get clues to where we might have come from. Each region has its own distinct 'flavor' and it's nice to know what 'flavor' we might have come from. It's about history. What's wrong with knowing a People's history? One way to tell is by some features. Knowing features does not assign value of the person, it helps to identify them, period.

So the WOKE disease has come to Asia also? Wow. Everyone in different regions have identifiable traits. Even in Europe & the Americas. It's not about discriminating, it's the opposite: it's knowing where someone's roots may be in order to get to know them better. They all scream about diversity but don't allow anyone to acknowledge the beautiful differences we all have.

I just started watching it: I avoided it because I wasn't sure I wanted a lot of gross 'endings'. I should have known better: this is KDrama. The mafia is part of the history of where I grew up and live in. So far I'm really liking this - as bad as those guys could be, they did have their 'code'.
