I don't know about anything else, but some nice costumes you got here.
But since most of the people I saw so far are either a royalty, an elite organisation related to it or gods (? if that what the go players were?), their access to luxury items wouldn't be an issue. But I get the sentiments.
I don't think showrunners cared for accuracy at all. Frankly, don't think they ever do in cdramas, especially in fantasy romance. In the movies, maybe. In dramas I'm just glad to see any effort made and some attention to detail resulting in a harmonious even if inaccurate look showing.

It's even better than that. Sometimes you can see lots of money pumped into production with miserable effect. But here there's a style to it too, it all comes coherent and is coordinated within a frame (people with other people, people with scenery and lighting etc.). I only took a peek, but it looks very good. Go players and that group of princes in armours are my favourites from ep 1.
- People are saying Sang Mi should tell her mum about Reverent Creep, but the thing is, it was happening right on her eyes, she heard 'white as a porcelain, fragrant as a balm' line, saw him grabbing her daughter's thight (at least I assume she did because camera angles and lines of unobstructed focus are iffy here, see meeting the boys on the road scene), made an eye contact with her and nodded slightly. Even if she didn't see his hand, that line alone should light a red lamp. I wouldn't count for much help from her.
- What was that look on Sang Mi face in the end? Is she going to fall for Reverant Creep speech?? Please no.
- (I want a scene of Jo Sung Ha calmly doing his roots after pulling something really stomach turning somewhere down the road. He may whistle too. Preferably with a red neon in a background.)
- I'm really digging this show visuals. Please, stay this way.
- Probably a wrong moment to mention it after everything that happened, but I'm so team Dong Cheol.
I feel some shows need a 'take your brain with you' sticker because people got too lazy to pay attention since other dramas just lay everything out and repeat a few times to make sure you got it. It's a mystery drama. It wouldn't be fun if it spilt everything right away.
Sorry for the rant. It truly is kindly intended. I started Circle forewarned and it wasn't that hard to follow, so if someone starts this knowing what to expect, it'll be easier to keep up with too. It's not a rocket science. You'll be fine. Embrace the confusion and frustration of not knowing who's who and what his/her endgame is. Everything will fall into place eventually.
I'm sorry a bit off-topic, anyone here knows what is the basis of MDL in ranking a drama according to popularity?…
I remember someone saying pageviews, but don't quote me on that. It's not a total number of votes/marks though, because math doesn't work for the most popular shows.
The only thing I have against it is that there was ONE named, speaking female character in the entire movie (we could count an announcer in a news too, but she's just a talking head with three lines). True, that female character was a classic Lee El, but come on? All middle aged men and a bunch of hostesses/prostitutes? How plausible is that?
I wish they'd tone down dana's violence because it's getting too much, i love the fact that she's…
My point is they never seemed like a main cast from the trailers (were they even there?), and from the synopsis like just a reference point for the main two to aim.
I only saw a bit of the second episode, but from the first it looked more like two pairings forming eventually.
With less than 20 votes it's hardly reliable. It's only three people who rated it below 5. But I'm wondering the same thing. The cult is vaguely Christian, not a clue how sensitive people are about it here. Maybe people are impatient to see Ok Taec Yeon finally graduate from high school (but hey, he made it to college in Let's Fight Ghost) & it's his another supernatural drama? Does Seo Ye Ji have haters? I have nothing but residual sympathy for her from Hwarang (although her voice was even cooler with segeuk speech).

But they wouldn't try to rely on delivering strength and uniqueness of a male lead on him randomly abusing people. Why make a step back when writing a female lead? Aah, idk. Let's see how it'll turn.

I fear this drama may have the same issue Strong Woman had: it tries to use violence for comic relief (and adds whole filler-y groups of people roaming around). I don't have a huge problem with girl's personality in general (I read many bad comments though), you can imagine how her life shaped her that way and it's just a starting point, but don't have much trust in a drama made with that mindset.
Also: am I the only one disappointed that in a drama that was supposed to be about lowlives and their struggles half of the main cast are poor rich kids? They don't even have a full line in a synopsis, but in reality a lot of screentime is devoted to them.

/(but what does a magpie bridge mean? is it an idiom? from the context it seems like a contact box, but I never heard that phrase before.)
