An outstanding drama
You’re hooked from the very beginning. Be prepared for binge watching because you’ll find it hard to tear yourself away. The acting is top notch. The story that unfolds has many aspects which keeps it interesting and often emotional. The role played by the father will touch your heart time and time again. The actor in that role ( Li Chun Lee) is excellent. Roy Chiu performs the most outstanding role of his career, a complex character you’ll sometimes despise, but grow to love. A love story for true romantics
This very moving melodramatic love story spans a few decades, taking these lovers from their teens to their forties. The acting is extraordinary in both the teen lovers and the adult lovers. These teenage actors give outstanding performances and will surely be seen in future roles. The seasoned veteran actors give stellar performances as the adult lovers. Along with the emotional love story comes a drama involving a conglomerate and the greedy ruthless people who are willing to sacrifice anyone to meet their goals. If you’re looking for true romance
This is one of best dramas for romance and great kissing scenes. None of those fake kisses in this drama! It is light-hearted for the most part, but there is just enough melodrama to keep it interesting. The storyline line is refreshing because it is not typical of the usual dramas. The couple has great chemistry and are cute to watch. I’m a fan of romance and this one is a favorite that I have watched multiple times. I’m glad Viki recently added it, but I bought my own copy of it because it’s that good. I highly recommend it!Was this review helpful to you?
One of the best dramas
This is far and away one the best k-dramas ever! It has everything a successful drama should have, including an interesting storyline, plenty of action, suspense, romance, secrets to unravel, a great OST and a wonderful cast of characters. "Eternal Love" is one of the best songs ever in a drama. As the story unfolds it takes you through the history of a group of friends and how love, jealousy, betrayal and greed destroys them and later effects those who are left behind. The two male leads are major hotties and pure pleasure to watch. It is sure to make your top ten list! Don't miss it!Was this review helpful to you?
Dramas don't get any better than this one!
One of the best dramas I have seen in a long time. It ranks with the best of K-Dramas and is sure to make many top 20 lists. Not only.is the storyline interesting, but the acting of the two male leads and the grandmother is terrific and they give emotinally charged, award worthy performances. Going inside of the tech world and seeing the behind the scenes efforts of start ups was eye opening. The personal drama in the lives of the characters added to unfolding plot. The romantic aspects woven throughout the episodes gives romance lovers a huge dose of what they watch dramas for. I consider it a not to missed winner!Was this review helpful to you?
Dramas don't get better than this gem!
Having watched hundreds of dramas. this one by far is one of the best. I am certain it has to among the top ten on many drama lovers' lists. The characters are varied and loveable. No bad guys here to wreak havoc and none of the usual drama tropes. This is simply an entertaining story of four 40 year old friends, their lives, loves and careers. There is a great cast of characters, a storyline that keeps it interesting, plenty of romance and a great soundtrack. As for rewatch value, that's a given. I have probably seen this from start to finish at least a half dozen times. It remains a hit drama and a fan favorite for very good reasons. Treat yourself to it!Was this review helpful to you?
A “must watch” for those who love dramas with romance!
What’s not to love about this gem? Just like some of the most popular and rewatched rom/coms, this one will leave you smiling and hating to see it end. The lead outlet are perfect in their roles and have great chemistry. Their steamy kisses give their romance major credibility. It’s rare to see this kind of passion in Asian dramas. Im Yoon-ah has been a favorite of mine since I watched my first K-drama ever about 7 years ago. Her starring role in the drama “Love Rain” is what hooked me on these dramas and I have watched hundreds of them over the years. I have rewatched that original drama more times than I can count, so when I saw that she starred in this drama I couldn’t resist. it certainly did not disappoint. I won’t go into a long winded analysis of this series, just know it’s well worth watching and I found it to be an oasis in the desert of mediocre rom/coms.Was this review helpful to you?
A disappointment
I was not impressed with this drama and found it boring and depressing. I didn’t care for the characters except for the boss the one female lead fell in love with and his assistant. The two older female leads were dull and not the least bit feminine. The young one was a greedy, immature, materialistic, gold digger. I don’t understand the rave reviews I have read here and haven’t found any redeeming qualities in this drama. I can’t really identify with any of them. I guess opinions about this drama are geared to the culture you come from and can better identify with the plight of these characters. It must be getting a lot of high praise for a reason, but reason eludes me.Was this review helpful to you?
