i adooooooore kokoy!! i watched the whole series in one sitting and i thought it was quite good, especially the fist couple of episodes were great. there was a lot happening so there could have been a lot more episodes because everything seemed a bit rushed and at some points i thought that i had missed some scenes. i did like the actors who played Krisha and Barry as well but don't know if i would've liked the show as much if kokoy hadn't been the lead, i mean he's just amazing. (but the fake kiss though.. why...) i liked how they addressed many different lgbt issues but i have to say i found it super weird that they still called their teacher "sir" and "mr" though she had just come out as trans but thankfully in the last episode she corrected them also, the actor was hot as hell but barry is like the least sexy name ever :D i'm sorry i just kept thinking about barry from friends
there's a lot of negative comments and i do kinda agree with most of them, at least about ton. but still i really like this show. though i don't agree with all the choices they've made i still hope and pray that they're really trying to make a point with these homophobic, clueless, extra problematic characters. i don't think you have to like the characters in a show to enjoy it, at least i don't. if the characters are complex and interesting. and there are so many adorable and funny characters too like na and ai and nai that are the highlight for me anyway. idk, maybe i had a point, maybe i don't but i like the show and the actors are great and i've been truly entertained watching this
Thing is these two are pretty hot for each other in the novel but it just didn't translate well onto the screen…
i've read the novel too and maybe that's part of the reason why this bothered me so much.. and i'm not saying it's just the actors fault, the scenes themselves were awkward too so it's the combined effort of script, directing and actors which just didn't work for me.. it's a bummer because the first season and tincan are one of my favorites. but i'm glad other people enjoyed it :)
i'm sorry but what was that ending?? it was really confusing or maybe i'm just dumb idk. ben was making the video for jim but we didn't get to hear what the big secret was and suddenly he was sleeping and then (fake)kissing jim and then it just ended?? was it a dream?? i'm so confused., i feel i didn't get a closure at all. all in all i don't even know how to rate this series. i liked it and was excited to watch it every week even though i disliked most of the characters and the script was kind of confusing sometimes. i really liked the dude who played ben, his acting was great. if i'm honest i don't really want ben and jim to end up together though because jim seems super insecure and jealous and controlling but maybe he will change
i didn't really have any expectations before watching the first episode but i was pleasantly surprised by this series. especially the story seems a bit different than your average bl and i'm excited to see were it goes. it wasn't the most amazing acting i've ever seen but believable enough in my opinion and i'm intrigued to see more. hope they keep up the good vibe!
honestly, can we stop cringy and excessive sex scenes that don't do anything for the story and aren't working?? i'm sorry but i found it extremely uncomfortable watching the sex scenes between tin and can. they were not natural, they weren't aesthetically pleasing, they didn't really bring much to the story in my opinion and seeing the actors being kind of stiff and uncomfortable made it even harder to watch. series like i told sunset about you are perfect examples of dramas that are amazing and emotional and make me believe in the connection the characters have even with very little physical intimacy. i'm not saying that all sex scenes are bad. like in tharntype or together with me they were great (except the rapey bits in TT) and important to the story. idk, sorry for the rant but i just didn't enjoy the bedroom scenes in this. otherwise i think the series got better towards the end, although (probably because of my extremely high expectations) the show was a flop for me. loved perth though
i don't really know why i like this series so much but i just do! nothing really happens but it's still interesting. It's just nice to watch, it's relaxing. the characters seem real and normal and i kind of love it.
i really really like this show BUT i don't find ton's endless homophobia or the prostitution part funny... otherwise the show is great so far and i adore the actors, especially mike and toptap!
OH MY FUCKING GOD I have never seen anything this beautiful! that beach scene, even though it's so simple, I cried my fucking eyes out. I'm speechless and at the same time I want to scream... and these actors oh my lord they are taking my breath away. That last scene.......i loved everything about this episode. I don't give a shit if this has a sad ending honestly if it does I know i'm going to love the pain. 10/10 is an understatement
