Sadly, the drama was on very low budget. Take the Cui family scenes as an example—perhaps you thought that was rushed. The original script actually elaborated much more on them. But when filming, the lack of funding resulted in them stripping down to what was absolutely necessary for the audience's understanding of the story. Investors were not confident in betting their money on an original script. They truly made the most out of what they had and I'd say they did a great job!
