this is a valid take because i also felt the same way; the first half was so boring that i almost dropped it. starting from episode 8, the story has become better and more interesting. that said, i still find it somewhat overrated, perhaps because i’m watching it now, ten years after it originally aired. somehow, the osts are undeniably good.

historical genre is her thing.

the romance was poorly executed, leading to many awkward and childish moments. the plot was dull and predictable and kinda pissed of jung hae-in's performance 'cause he was too bland, despite knowing he's a talented actor from his previous work. the side characters, especially the S.E.S ahjummas, were the ones who really carried the show.

knetz are acting weird again and targeting her for being the great granddaughter of pro japanese imperialist doctor. 😨

now i regret hitting the play button; the agony of watching a good ongoing drama is the real curse.

you know a drama is truly great when there are hardly any negative reviews. this show was phenomenal! i even had several migraines from crying while watching it. the recommendations were spot on too; slice-of-life genre is definitely the best!

i don't know if i want to watch lee dongwook to portray a psychopath again because, honestly, he creeps me out! his chilling expressions left me with nightmares. yet, i can't deny his exceptional acting skills—he truly makes me feel like a real character.

as always im si wan is a standout performer who never fails to impress! he deserves every bit of recognition for his incredible performance in this drama. it's hard to believe this show didn’t win a lot of awards. just think about it: the acting, cinematography, storyline, and the cast's accuracy in portraying the webtoon were all executed flawlessly!

i'm avoiding a rewatch because i genuinely had nightmares about lee dongwook's face in this drama
