Finally caught up…epi 20 was superb, I was holding my breath for that landing. I like the drama and can’t wait for express but editing has been so choppy and done a disservice to this drama.

Ep. 20 was so heartbreaking 💔. Sun Yu’s hurt was palpable, her tears as she smiled brokenly had me tearing up . Her love was so selfless and pure. SYZ gave so much love, wish he knew and felt how much he was loved.

Luke is a mess as usual and never knows when to shut up, like damn 6 years and no trust? Give me a break 😒

I’m 8 episodes in and I’m loving the show so far, love the FL (the actress is so pretty to me) for her determination and passion but I think ML liking her is so sudden. I’m glad she’s giving him a hard time, he was a jerk in the beginning.

Yh novel context would have helped but I think your interpretation is great as you’re going purely on what’s been shown in the drama so far. It actually makes a great deal of sense 💯

I think that part may have suffered from the cuts they made. If I remember correctly in the novel Luke’s mom signed him up for the app (under a different name) and she connected with Flora on the app (she knew about her cos Luke had sent a picture of her once, but NOT acknowledging her as his girlfriend). She started talking to Flora on the app (but Flora’s responses were system generated) and decided to pay for Luke to attend Sun Yu’s event. When Luke visited his mom in the U.S (I think), she provoked him by showing him the picture of the girl she connected with on the app, knowing full well he likely liked her. When Luke returned to China he asked Flora what her plans were for that day and she lied that she was going to the library 😬😩. He of course got pissed and met her at the event and tried to create trouble but left afterwards.

Wait is the 40 episode rule really lifted? I’m seeing 47 episodes? So exciting!!

Luke and Flora are the king and queen of lack of communication and miscommunication and they deserve each other. They are both so good at hurting each other. One doesn’t know how to speak without twisting his words or using them to hurt his supposed gf and the other doesn’t know how to use her words properly. How do you sign up for a singles app (even if u don’t use it) without letting ur bf know and why does Luke who knows how to speak the most biting words to his gf not open his mouth and tell the ex Flora is taken or tell Flora you don’t feel comfortable with her meeting the ex? Instead he weirdly watches ex take care of her while she’s drunk and then uses that sharp mouth to lash out at flora when she asks to make their relationship public (something that can solve so much of the heartache and jealousy he’s feeling). Last 2 epi have been so exhausting but I can’t stop watching lol.

But tbh a pissed off Luke drinking his sorrows away with “you should know” playing was fun to watch cos the VISUALS!!! Jing Bo Ran bodied this role cos I may be hating Luke at times but I forget his faults 2 secs later. This is why I don’t blame Flora for not leaving his moody ass 😂😂😂cos just look at him. But I’ve never been ready for breakup era like I am now. Epi 20 can’t come fast enough, cos they need a break and therapy so they can act right

Yes she was. The drama has done a great job toning Luke down and there’s also been some changes made to sequence of events so I’m not sure how she goes about forgiving him.

Luke needs to learn when to speak and when to shut up. If you got nothing nice to say then best be quiet. I hated novel Luke and this episode made me want to smack him as bad as I did when reading the book. I’m glad he realized he’s like his father and needs to do better but I don’t know how fl is so quick to forgive per episode 14 preview…I guess it’s love smh. I’m seriously ready for their breakup era, cos I think it’s very much needed.

Chancellor Gu has the heart of the devil. Ep. 23 was so disheartening, the convo between Mr. and Mrs. Gu was so well acted out, especially by the actress, that I couldn’t stop watching. I need all the episodes out cos this Gu man gotta get his comeuppance

THIS!!! I was baffled by the zombie type things I was seeing and thought I’m I watching the right show? But alas I’m hooked so I’m excited for more episodes 🤣

Scene between Sin Seo Ri and her grandma was tastefully done, so moving. I couldn’t control my tears. You could feel her regret that she didn’t get enough time with her. Dementia is such a cruel illness 😭.

I wish I had waited till tomorrow to watch 13 and 14 together but I’ll trust the writers and team to give us a happy ending. If not, I may just rage 😂😂😂

Wishful thinking but wish YK could go back to when he used to bring HSM things from the mortal realm to make her happy. Cos YK in last 2 episodes is straight scary, he’s on some delulu crazy nonsense. His obsession with power has gotten out of hand. Miles Wei really killing this villain role a bit too well.

So satisfying to see SY humbled, wish his mom was able to witness FCY’s success so she could be equally humbled. That killer side eye from XZ was sooooo goood. Also I’m not sure why but I started hysterically laughing at the face SY made after he was slapped cos that whole AI face swap is so creepy 😂😂😂.

Might I say Mr. Jin can also be in the running for most miserable in today’s episode? There’s no hope between him and FCY so I’m not sure what his deal is. He probably should have been with the emperor and eunuch crying it out 😂😂😂
