I have a theory The reason she was portrayed as villainous might actually be because she was too ahead of her time.
Even from the first two episodes, you can notice that although sheās from a historical era, her thinking and mentality are incredibly modern. I think that before becoming a concubine, she really was sent in as a maid like they showed. But because of her intelligence, vision, and the attention she naturally attracted, the King became interested in her.
After the marriage, though, I think her influence started becoming too strongāso strong that it overshadowed both the Queen and even the King himself. That probably turned her into a threat in their eyes.
I also think the Queen may have manipulated the situation because she was insecure and jealous of the attention the FL was receiving. As we saw in the museum, the painting was actually made by the FL, yet history credited it to the Queen š
So after her death, the Queen might have stolen her achievements too.
And honestly, it feels like the King had been trying to get rid of her for a long time but never succeeded. So he waited for the perfect opportunityāthe famine and the appearance of the red polar star. He promoted her to a higher rank first, then when the famine happened (which the Bureau of Astronomy might have already predicted), he used it to publicly blame her, downgrade her, and execute her š
Poor girl⦠she was probably condemned simply because she was way ahead of her time. Itās just a theory though š
I know thereās no Queen character officially mentioned yet, but she might still appear as a cameo.
That is why you should always IGNORE HATERS... They want to argue, they want to put you in a bad mood, they want…
Till now, my patience has been holding me back, so you probably wonāt see me arguing on the other comments But right above this comment, youāll find a kid who got offended from my comment ⦠LOL, they literally just proved my point š
Yeah its possible that she died from overwork, as you said. But there is also a very interesting theory by someone…
One thing that amazes me is how intelligent she is for someone from her time period The vision and mentality she shows are way ahead of her era. If she were born in modern times, she would definitely be a chaebol CEO or something
I actually have a theory about this⦠Iāll write a separate comment on it
Me! I had experienced with that Tom. I specifically said I'm new to cdrama world and asked why xixi's drama whispers…
Back in days he was way rude to me ..like people are bubbly in regard to upcoming drama so why to be harsh ...he can enjoy that ..but no he speaks like we own him some last life grudge
Wow!!! I didnāt think I would enjoy it this much. The FL is seriously giving one of her best performances šāØ I also donāt think sheāll slip back in time, because technically sheās already dead⦠so I donāt think she can return that easily š But what Iām really curious about is the soul of the body she possessed. What do you think happened to her original soul? Like⦠where did it go? Did she die from overwork, which is why the FL was able to possess her body in the first place? And damn, this emperor⦠heās exactly the same in modern times tooāacting all gentle on the outside while hiding his true nature underneath. A wolf in sheepās clothing š Heās seriously so cunning.
God how many new accounts each day to comment the so called ācriticismā ??!!
I found 6 accounts in the comment section that were all created on May 10 And the fascinating part is that all they were doing was spreading hate. Weird, isnāt it?
And the haters might end up pulling their hair out š
But with the way the promotions are progressing, we think early June might be the release date
