I think you do not remember. Because the revenge plot is common. There is "Hong Gil Dong" or better version "Rebel: thief who stole the people ..", In "Hwarang" the king was dominated be his mother and took back his power(also he was not deposed), "Mr queen": The king came back and took back his throne. "King's daughter: SooBaeckYoung" the true heir is inherited the throne(This one really depends on your interpretation of the story.

I think it's more of a kdrama thing. Had it been a Marvel's movie, he would have been called a legendary guard, or formidable warrior.

I hate it that they show Shi Yeol as a killer not a protector. King's men go around and kill everyone they want, just because they are under command. And when somebody defends himself and others it is killing ...

Also there is a drama named Youth in Flames of War. I am a little worried to start it since there will be clearly many losses. There is also a drama I am searching for. It is about a few nine-tailed foxes who came to earth. AND I have a ton of movies in my watchlist. Let's try them
