I think the only way for you to enjoy to series is if you watched it voluntarily and not because others told you so, otherwise you might find yourself forcing to just watch it. However, if you are really intent to giving it a try, here's some of my highlights:

> FL is not a damsel in distress
> The ML and FL are both matured, and communicates well (except they can't be openly honest about their feelings, but who cares. They only need to look at each other's eyes to know lolol)
> Well written dialogues. Here's some of my favorites,

"Husband? No way. I will be your servant. My body is yours, my soul is yours, my heart is yours too" - Lee Jang Hyun

> Fleshed out characters and a clear display of their differences. Here's a sample of difference in perspective of a scholar who has never experienced dirt and bound by traditional thinking vs a man who crawled himself out of dirt and experienced all kinds of cruelties.

Eun Ae: Do you think women should take their own lives when the foreign intruders grabbed their wrists?

Yeon Jun: A single drop of ink is enough to make a clean water dirty. Whether it's just their wrist, or something even worse, they have lost their chastity

Gil Chae: What if I say a foreign intruder took advantage of me?

Jang Hyun: Then I should give you a hug, for it must have been painful.

That's it. I also have no words for the cinematography and OST. It's 10/10 for me.

What are you on about? Lmao. There's so many 40ish actors out there in other kdramas, like Jang Hyuk and Sunghoon Perfect Marriage revenge. You know why they are still casted? Because of their powerful acting. That's their merit and that's what we need to give justice to the story, so if you don't like those kinds of things and easily gets disgusted by an actor's 'age', do yourself a favor and just stick to other web dramas with younger actors and lousy acting.
