About Tharn's job, I'm not sure if it was specified but he was just some kind of office worker? Type was the first one to propose, though they didn't get officially married since it's not allowed in Thailand :( but they make vows and get rings and everything. I don't know about kids... At the beginning of the novel, Type says he really really doesn't want children, but who knows, things change ;)
