And FL confessed to Hagi herself, he did not make the first move. Both FL and Hagi tried to tell him the truth but he didn't want to hear it. Instead, he is busy emotionally blackmailing the FL with nonsense about how he is no longer precious to her and still talking about her staying by his side. Great friend he is.
I do agree that this friends/love trope is tiresome. I wish dramas would let friends be friends and stop letting men/women come between them in nearly every love triangle drama. Let us enjoy the bromance/sismamce in peace. Chan and Hagi were great together in the beginning.

I think that it kind of fits who he really is although now he is not just getting in the way of ML but also FL. I say that (it fits) bc in previous episodes, he made sure to get in the way every single time he knew/saw that ML was going to confess to FL. He's been kind of shady so it does not feel too surprising that he would do such a selfish thing. Of course, this is more extreme but not out of character for someone who would do the things he has done. At least from my point of view.

But YES, they should be getting together in the next 1-2eps hopefully and stand together the rest of the way. I love that they communicate very well workwise (most of the time) so I think that once they are official, the romance side will be as you said. 🙏
