Have you watched it yet? Sure, My Mister did not invent platonic relationships, but there's a really special thing about it that makes it so unique. Maybe it's the rawness of it, the morally ambiguous characters, the intricate plot details, the pure distress of adult life and human nature that makes it so touching. Whatever it is, it does make it an unmatched masterpiece.
